Step into the backcountry with more confidence, better decision-making, and a crew that’s all in on progression and safety.

Join us in Leadville for our AIARE 1 Hybrid course, built specifically for riders using snowmobiles to access backcountry terrain—whether you’re sled-skiing, splitboarding, or riding deep zones on your machine.

Over three full days, you’ll go beyond the basics:
👉 Build a solid foundation in avalanche awareness + decision-making
👉 Learn how to read terrain, snowpack, and avalanche forecasts
👉 Practice real-world rescue skills
👉 Apply it all in the field with hands-on scenarios

This isn’t just a classroom course—it’s a sled-accessed backcountry experience where you’ll learn, ride, and put it all together in real terrain… alongside a like-minded crew.

Two days. Real terrain. Noticeable progression.

If you’re looking to build confidence and take your riding to the next level, this 2-day backcountry snowmobiling clinic is all about customized coaching in real conditions—not just putting in miles.

“Easily one of the most exhausting days of riding but the most rewarding… it really boosted my confidence with tree riding and downhill J turns.”

That’s what we’re after—skills that actually translate when it matters.

What to expect:
👉 Personalized coaching based on your goals + current ability
👉 Focus on technical riding: tree riding, sidehilling, downhill J-turns, and control in complex terrain
👉 Small group format = more reps, more feedback, faster progression
👉 Real backcountry zones with instructors who know where to go (and when)

We meet you where you’re at, then push your riding in the right way—so you leave more confident, more capable, and ready for bigger terrain.

Clinic Dates:

Big stoke from this recent motorized AIARE 1 course near Tin Cup Pass.

We were lucky to have Avalanche Alliance sweepstakes winner Braden Benz representing North Dakota and American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education AIARE scholarship recipient Nate Dumais out learning, riding and building backcountry skills alongside a great crew.

Nothing better than helping riders gain the knowledge and confidence to explore these mountains. 👊🏽

“What an incredible experience… I left feeling more confident in my riding and in my ability to make meaningful, safe decisions regarding avalanche safety.” 🙌

Last month Kyle joined us for the AIARE 1 Hybrid "Sled & Shred" course — combining motorized access with hands-on avalanche education in the central Colorado backcountry. That’s the goal: stronger riders, smarter decision-makers, and real confidence in both your machine handling and avalanche terrain choices.

👉 Our next AIARE 1 Hybrid course runs March 27–29.
