Estos días de primavera la clásica Raleigh fixera me ha llevado a lo largo y ancho de nuestro valle precioso.

This time of year back in 2017 I was glowing…
My mind fraying in flashbacks of freshly amassed memories from 3,000 miles of observing and absorbing from the saddle.
I had been fortunate to get invited to the initial showcasing of the Baja Divide bikepacking route and will forever be grateful to and
for enabling this gift of my returning to my México after having left 15 years prior on sad terms and now returning on my bike,strong,from my home in Salida, Colorado after having lost my lover,my dog and my health to then realize on my last day of the trip that I had made it all the way and was fully healed;healed by living the high life in “the feral life” as Lael calls it; my bike bags packed full of awe,humility,gratitude and self discovery.
My bicycle has never failed me,I fix bikes because bikes fix me.❤️

En Febrero del 2017 andaba en la luna lleno de frescos recuerdos mágicos después de pedalear más de 3,000 millas para participar en el estreno de la ruta de bikepacking “Baja Divide” en Baja California.
Siempre le estaré agradecido a Lael Wilcox y Nicholas Carman por darme el empujoncito para regresar a mi Mexico en bicicleta después de mi triste partida muchos años atrás.
Al final del viaje de tres meses me llené de asombro,apreciación y gratitud cuando me di cuenta que había llegado hasta la punta de la península en mi bici desde mi casa en Colorado después de haber perdido a mi pareja,mi perro y mi salud y ahora estaba ya sanado y listo para enfrentar la vida gracias a la bici,la distancia y el horizonte.

Tennessee Pass Night Jam,the oldest running Fat Bike race (20+years! Before Fat Bikes even existed!😆) was a BLAST!!
With well over 100 participants and optimal conditions it turned into one groovy fiesta!
Big thanks to Sterling / and for putting on such a quality event!! 🏁🤘🏽🏁

Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day! Today we take time to appreciate Gino Bartali. A bicycle racer champion of human rights! It was many years after the passing of the famous Italian cyclist winner of the Tour de France in 1938 and 1948 that his work for the resistance during the N**i occupation of Italy in World War II came to light. He had utilized his cycling champion celebrity status as a cover for his efforts to help rescue Jews from persecution. He covered great distances as training, secretly carrying documents, photographs and messages inside his bicycle’s frame and handlebars. This way he helped save the lives of over 800 Jews while risking his own life in doing so.
Let’s Fight Fascism, Xenophobia and Bigotry by embracing diversity and practicing tolerance and compassion!
