More highlights from Leadville! 🚴‍♂️💨
Leadville tested every ounce of grit and our young riders proved they’re made of absolute iron!
* Unstoppable Determination: Despite multiple crashes, every single kid dusted themselves off, got back in the saddle, and kept pushing forward. Shoutout to Anna Elick- Anna got tangled up at the start which put her last. This athlete pushed on and passed 17 riders to finish the course.
* 100% Finish Rate: The highlight of the race? Every single rider crossed that finish line.
Winning isn't just about speed; it's about getting back up when the trail knocks you down. So proud of these kids for showing us all what heart and perseverance really look like! 🏅🏆

Battle-tested at 10,000 feet! 🏆🚴‍♂️
The Crankers took on the brutal altitude and unpredictable weather at the Cloud City Challenge in Leadville this past weekend, proving that grit and teamwork beat the elements every single time. Standing on the podium four separate times, the team put on an absolute masterclass in resilience on one of the toughest courses of the season.
Individual Highlights
* Hudson Brown brought home 1st Place in Sophomore Boys with a dominant ride.
* Benny Marxer dug deep to claim a strong 5th Place finish in Sophomore Boys.
* Harper Murphy crushed the course to capture 4th Place in Freshman Girls.
Team Achievement
* Team Renaissance locked in 3rd Place overall, proving that every single pedal stroke and pass across the squad contributed to an incredible collective effort.
Huge congratulations to all the riders, coaches, and supporters who braved the Leadville elements to make this race one for the books!

Here’s your ultimate weekend breakdown for the Crankers team tent at Leadville:

Friday Pre-Ride
4:00 PM: Team pre-ride! Meet prepped and ready at the Crankers tent in the pit zone.

Saturday Race Day
7:30 AM: All racers report to the team tent. Plan to stay all day to cheer on the team through the podium awards!

⏱ Staging Times (Warm-ups start ~30 min prior):
JV Boys: 8:20 AM
-Varsity (Boys & Girls): 9:40 AM
-Sophomore Boys: 11:20 AM
-JV & Sophomore Girls: 12:40 PM
-Freshmen (Boys & Girls): 2:00 PM
(Don't forget to check Coach Michael's cheat sheet for plate numbers and call-ups!)

Course Marshals are key to these races and we cannot even start the race if we do not have those positions filled! Bring your coffee, a chair and we will get you set up!!

The Castle Rock Crankers are officially lined up and ready to drop into the first race of the Colorado High School Cycling League season! Months of summer trail rides, technical skills camps, and hill repeats are about to pay off on the singletrack.
Big shoutout to our incredible student-athletes, dedicated volunteer coaches, and supportive families for making race weekend happen!
