It will be very hot, but nothing stops the Monday Night Beginners Run (MNBR). Not even forgetting to create a post to advertise it would stop people from showing up. (This happened last week!) Join us at the Kansas River Trails off of 8th and Oak in North Lawrence at 6:30 PM today, August 31, 2026. 4-5 miles at a conversational pace. Bring water and bug spray. I restocked my freeze pop supply so we are ready for the heat!

Now that the weather is more mild and pleasant there is no excuse not to attend the Monday Night Beginners Run (MNBR) tonight (8/17/26). We congregate in the upper parking lot of the River Trails off of 8th and Oak at 6:30 PM. 4-5 miles at a conversational pace with plenty of places to cut the run short, if you don't want the full distance. Bring water and bug spray. I'll bring freeze pops to share.

Sure, Lawrence is under an extreme heat watch, but think how good that freezepop will taste after the Monday Night Beginners Run (MNBR) tonight (Monday July 27th). Join us at the River Trails off of 8th and Oak in North Lawrence at 6:30 tonight. We congregate in the upper lot. 4-5 miles at a conversational pace.
