There are places that are more than just where an event happens.

For the Kuna Stampede, this is one of them.

The Koby J. Clark Arena at Crooked 8 is where the flags rise, the horses enter, the chutes open, the stands fill, and for a few days each year, this corner of Kuna becomes home to the Stampede.

But there is also meaning in the name above those gates.

Koby J. Clark was a young man from the Kuna area who loved the outdoors and was working as a hunting guide in Montana when he lost his life in a tragic accident in 2018. Those who knew him remembered someone who was doing what he loved, and who came from a family known for stepping forward when others needed help.

That makes this more than an arena sign.

It is a reminder that places like this are built around people, memories, families, and the community that carries those stories forward.
