A part of my mission has always been to help people alleviate unnecessary suffering.

Yesterday I got a message from a guy at one of my seminars…

“I think the biggest thing I got from the seminar, was the ankle strengthening work. I had one of my ankles popped in a leg lock battle months and months ago, and it never felt 100%, it felt like it was constantly kind of weak.

…My ankles feel so strong now. Back to 100% and probably better than before.”

To go from being weak and in pain to 100% percent in less than a month of work(5 min a day)

That brings me joy…

Not everyone can make it out to my workshops, classes or retreats so I created the Hidden Dojo online.

It will have all of the systems I’ve been teaching privately to get back to baseline and then to bulletproof like:

Combat Fascia development,
Bulletproof body for joints,
Sila strength work,
High performance recovery,
Holistic nutrition for longevity and inflammation,
Technique videos from seminars
Live calls,
And so much more.

Shoot me a DM if you want in.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed in jiu jitsu.

There is so much to learn.
So much to do.

Positions. Submissions. Sweeps. Defense.

Don’t worry my friends.

Just focus on getting the details right.

Everything will all work out in the end.

Great training, learning and teaching with great people w/

Most people are training jiu jitsu completely wrong and that’s why they are constantly injured & burned out.

If you want to do jiu jitsu for the rest of your life, then jiu jitsu needs to stop being an activity that you do a few hours a week to a lifestyle that you do 24 hours a day.

For example..

The average person sits for 12+ hours a day.

Then they go and do an intense activity like jiu jitsu.

And then they wonder why they are injured or struggling to get off the floor without wincing.

Your body’s fascia system adapts to what you do or don’t do throughout the day with a concept called ‘fascia creep’.

If you don’t move or sit in a chair all day, your body adapts to get at those activities.

And then you throw it in a blender of chaos like jiu jitsu and you have the potential for some severe pain and suffering.

This is not even talking about nutrition, sleep and other lifestyle habits.

If you make jiu jitsu a lifestyle and take care of your body, guess what happens?

Your jiu jitsu improves, your life improves & your health improves…

It just takes understanding and implementing the right systems consistently to get those effects.

Smaller grapplers don’t stick around in the game for too long…

It’s a lot harder for a smaller grappler to move around 240 lbs than it is for a larger grappler to move around 135 lbs.

With time smaller grapplers joints and connective tissues get destroyed.

That’s why you hear about the countless surgeries, bad shoulders, necks, knees, and all the other joints…

And eventually quitting…

The reason is…

Jiu jitsu doesn’t have any systems for longevity that are taught.

By the time you get really good you are too beat to actually do it.

….Unless you learn how to bulletproof your joints…

20+ years in the game now, I’ve had more “career ending injuries” than anyone I know, and yet I’m still going, still improving and living without pain.

Your body wants to heal and be resilient… it just needs the right systems to do it.

Most people think detox happens in the liver.

But it primarily happens 20,000 times a day through your breath.

Watch how proper breathing pumps your lymphatic system and clears waste naturally.

Most people breathe “deeper”… but into the wrong places.

That’s why they feel more anxious, not calm.

When you learn to breathe into the right zones - your body starts to detox, recover, and calm itself 25,000 times a day.

Yesterday I was talking to my son about what it really takes to become a high-quality man.

One of the things mentioned was...

Men thrive when they’re improving at something,
it actually FEELS good to get better at what you do...

It’s actually proven that when men overcome challenges, their testosterone rises.

And it’s not just about winning big battles, climbing mountains or hard rolls on the mats…

It’s about showing up every day with the intention to get better... in anything.

Even something simple like washing dishes or sweeping the floor.

The presence and attention you bring to small tasks changes how you do everything else.

The same goes for Jiu Jitsu, Business and Relationships...

If you’re training today the same way you were last year or a decade ago....

You’re missing the deeper opportunity for personal growth through your practice.

Even if your techniques feel solid (and let’s be honest, no one’s truly perfected their game), you can always refine how you breathe, how you move, and how you slow down the game..

Don’t wait until your training feels stale to start making adjustments... whether in your mindset or in your body.

Keep polishing everything: how you breathe, move, think, walk… even how you p**p.

There’s always something to improve.

And your hormones will reward you for every small win.

It’s said King Leonidas of Sparta was around 60 years old when he led his troops at Thermopylae.

That was a testament to Spartan training, discipline, and preparation.

Now… let’s contrast that to the average man in his 60s today.

Preparing for retirement.

Pain running down his spine.

Anxiety, a big belly, stiff joints.

He couldn’t dream of leading himself on the Jiu Jitsu mat, let alone into battle.

What happened?

Here’s what was different, according to Xenophon:

They practiced “gymnastics” daily: running, walking, wrestling, bodyweight and military drills.

They ate only 2 meals a day... earned through training, discipline, and ritual.

Their days were ordered, purposeful, and distraction-free.

The average Spartan hoplite? 130–160 lbs of lean, ready-for-battle muscle.

Now I know what you’re thinking…

“Yea but Rome, I have a job, a wife, and kids.”

Sure. So do I.

But here’s the truth...

A 10–15 minute morning session can loosen, strengthen, and wake your body and keep it going throughout the day..

2 meals instead of snacking throughout the day...

A moment of thanks before dinner can shift your state more than scrolling ever could.

You know what really steals your time? Pain.

Neck pain especially.

It’s like an itch you can’t scratch. It haunts every movement, every thought.

That’s why I created The Bulletproof Neck.

After my own injuries and helping hundreds of men rebuild their strength and stability, I knew it had to be systemized and shared.

Not everyone can afford to work with me 1-on-1. But everyone deserves to feel great in their body.

If your neck is a cause for concern or you want to make sure it never is, shoot me a dm for a 🔗

Energy isn't just about how much you have. It's about how it moves through you.

Think about this...

Have you ever gotten a full night's sleep but still woke up exhausted? Ever noticed how one bad interaction in the morning can spiral your whole day into chaos?

That's because most of us have never learned the real secret of energy management.

We think it's about coffee, supplements, or forcing ourselves to push through. But that's like trying to fill a cracked container - no matter how much you pour in, it keeps leaking out.

Here's what's really happening:

When your energy gets stuck, everything gets stuck.

Your body becomes stiff.
Your mind becomes rigid.
Your emotions become brittle.

And when you're brittle, you break easier.

You snap at your kids over small things.
You overreact to that driver who cut you off.
You make business decisions from a place of frustration instead of clarity.

Each reaction creates more tension, more stiffness, more stagnation.

And the cycle continues.

This is why most "energy solutions" don't work. They focus on quantity when the real problem is flow.

Think of energy like water in a river. When it flows freely, it's powerful, life-giving, unstoppable. When it gets blocked, it becomes stagnant, toxic, dead.

Your body works the same way.

Stagnant energy leads to:

Rigid thinking
Explosive emotions
Physical tension
Poor decisions
Constant fatigue

The solution isn't just about getting more energy - it's about learning to move the energy you already have.

This is the foundation of true high performance. Not just in business, but in every area of life.

Because when energy flows freely, everything works better.

Your mind is sharper.
Your emotions are stable.
Your body is resilient.

This is the real game of energy management. And it's the most important skill you can master.

You hear it everywhere: "YOLO - You Only Live Once!"

But here's the truth that most men miss...

You don't live once. You live every single day.

You know what you only do once? Die.

And this distinction changes everything about how you approach performance, business, and life...

Because when you operate from "YOLO," you sacrifice tomorrow for today. You push harder, go faster, and burn brighter - thinking that's what makes you unstoppable.

But here's what nobody tells you about that approach: You have to live with the consequences.

Every.
Single.
Day.

That joint pain from pushing too hard, that brain fog from chronic sleep debt, that anxiety from an overtaxed nervous system - these aren't badges of honor.

They're warning signs your system is breaking down.

In the world of high performance, it's not about who's best. It's about who's left.

Look at any field - business, martial arts, athletics...

The ones who truly dominate aren't the ones who burn brightest.
They're the ones who burn longest.

Here's what separates real high performers from the rest: They understand that recovery isn't passive - it's a practice.

It's not Netflix and beer.
It's not "powering through".
It's not even about willpower.

It's about mastering the rhythms of pressure and release.

Because your nervous system - the foundation of all performance - operates on a simple truth: The depth of your recovery determines the height of your performance.

Without this balance, you're not building power. You're building a countdown timer to breakdown.

And when that timer hits zero, no amount of testosterone optimization, stem cell therapy, or biohacking supplements will save you from the hole you've dug.

The reality?

True high performance isn't about how much pressure you can take. It's about how effectively you can recover from that pressure.

This is why the highest performers in the world - from special operators to billion-dollar founders - all share one trait: They master sustainability before they master intensity.

Because what's the point of "crushing it" for a year if you spend the next five trying to fix what you broke?

The game isn't won in sprints. It's won in cycles. Pressure and release. Intensity and recovery. Push and rebuild.

This is the foundation of lasting power.

So ask yourself: Are you building a performance that lasts? Or are you still sacrificing tomorrow for today?

The choice - and the consequences - are yours.
