This past week we ran a Diveheart Adaptive Dive Buddy training in Key Largo. Classroom, pool, open water — the full thing. Watching people learn how to actually support a diver with a disability, not just in theory but underwater, is something else. Proud of this crew. Diveheart has been doing this for 25 years for a reason.

More bottom time starts here.

If you’ve been diving on regular air, you’re leaving time underwater on the table. Nitrox bumps your oxygen up to 40% recreationally — and that changes everything about how you plan your dive day. More bottom time, shorter surface intervals, and less nitrogen loading on your body.

But it comes with rules you have to know. Always analyze your tank. Know your MOD. Follow your dive computer — every dive.

Whether you’re just getting certified or you’ve been diving for years, the Enriched Air course is one of the smartest moves you can make. We recommend pairing it with your Open Water from day one.
