Day three of converting my podcast into a book.

My podcast Sets and Reps isn’t just a fitness and mindset podcast but it is a deeper look at how professionals from all different fields and walks of life create and accomplish their goals. Overall the mission of the podcast was to help myself and others become leaders in their own respect by learning from the best and following through. On the podcast's 5th birthday, I’m determined to follow through a project I abandoned a few years ago. I’m still working on extracting tools from these episodes which has been proving to be a bit of a slog but I know it will be worth it in the end and I am enjoying the process. My target date for the first draft of this book to be completed by May 30th 1st with the hope of meeting that goal sooner, Lord willing. Sometimes I play this game with myself where I set a goal kinda sorta far out with the hopes of meeting it sooner. This isn’t an insight from the podcast, I’ll start sharing some of those in future videos but so far it has helped give me space and breathing room to lock in. These videos are to both track my progress and keep myself accountable.

Day 2 of converting my podcast into a book.

My podcast Sets and Reps is all about health and growth insights featuring interviews with dozens of professionals from different fields and walks of life. It officially turns 5 years old in 2026, and this project is long overdue. I actually started this project a few years ago so I had some framework to go off of, but I Think I tried biting off a lot more than I could chew which is why I ended up abandoning it. I used a platform called Podsqueeze which transcribed my podcast audio into text. It’s an awesome program for content creation, and my plan was to take the transcribed audio for a bunch of the better episodes and go from there. I didn’t want to pay for the full version and the process became delayed because you could only use so much audio per month.

This time around I am simplifying it. My goal is to work on this 10 minutes per day. I’m starting by sitting at my computer and while listening to each podcast at 1.5x speed, I stop once I get to something good and write it down. Each good part of the interview = insight. Each insight will have a practical tool, and each insight I provide in the book will be something I can relate to myself and somehow prove that I’ve been able to utilize it in my own life and it has worked. I’ll be posting these videos not only as a way to document my progress but also as a way to keep myself accountable.

Hit that like button and follow along for the journey.

You don’t need perfect days to get results. You just need to stop quitting when things don't feel perfect.

Most people give themselves one chance when healing from an injury or pain in their body.

You are feeling amazing, doing all the things your PT told you to do, and your pain is gone. Then you resume working out exactly the same way you did before - same weights, exercises, intensity.

As soon as you get pain again, you throw up your hands in frustration and begin feeling that you lost all your progress and you're back at square one.

When life gets messy, don't vanish.
That’s not consistency. That’s burnout on repeat.

Here’s the truth: progress isn’t made on the easy days. It’s made on the days you almost quit
and still do something small anyway.

If you can learn to win those days, you’ll never have to start over again.

Here’s what winning looks like in the midst of a low back pain flare up:
– shorten your workout instead of skipping it.
– write your negative thoughts about your pain instead of ignoring them
– If the day goes sideways, walk for 10 minutes and call it a win.

Small effort compounds faster than perfection ever could.
Stop chasing perfect weeks. Chase consistent ones.
Perfect doesn’t get you results. Persistence does.

And, just so you know, I’m putting together a brand-new program starting November 1st. This is specifically for desk workers pver 40 in leadership positions who have completed physical therapy for back pain and want to both safely return to the gym after physical therapy, and increase their squat weight by 20 pounds in 60 days. It’s a remote program, so you can join from anywhere in the world. I’m looking for 4 people to test it out at a HUGE DISCOUNT, help me work out the kinks, and get amazing results that I can use as a case study.

If that’s you, comment ā€œYESā€ down below and I’ll share details about this exciting program.

Strong isn’t a body type. It’s a feeling.
It’s the quiet confidence that builds when you start keeping promises to yourself.
It’s realizing your body isn’t something to fix, it’s something to support.

Most people start their fitness journey trying to look different. That’s fine. But the people who
stay consistent are the ones who start to feel different.

They sleep better.
They think clearer.
They carry themselves differently.

Here’s the shift that changes everything: stop training to look strong and start training to be
strong.
That means you:
– Track your progress by what you can do, not what you weigh.
– Focus on how your body feels in workouts, not how it looks in photos.
– Fuel for energy, not for punishment.

When you stop chasing an image, you start building confidence that lasts longer than any
aesthetic ever could.

Strong isn’t something you can see in the mirror.
It’s something you feel when you finally trust your body again.

And, just so you know, I’m putting together a brand-new program starting November 1st.
