🎾 A Wimbledon legacy lives right here at The Birch.
As Wimbledon takes center stage, we’re celebrating something truly special: the Dent family’s connection to one of tennis’s most iconic stages.
Phil Dent reached the Wimbledon singles quarterfinals in 1977, was a Wimbledon men’s doubles finalist, and is widely listed among the top 5 men in Open Era grass-court match wins.
Taylor Dent made his own mark at Wimbledon, reaching the 4th round in 2005 and later setting a 148 mph serve-speed record in 2010, a record that stood for 15 years.
Jenny Dent, competing as Jennifer Hopkins, played Wimbledon in 2004, the year 17-year-old Maria Sharapova won the title. Jenny earned her place in the main draw by coming through three rounds of qualifying and went on to reach the second round.
From Wimbledon grass to The Birch courts, Phil, Taylor, and Jenny bring an incredible history and lifelong love of tennis to our club.
👏 Help us celebrate this incredible tennis legacy right here at The Birch.
