#3 vacation coyote was a bit more interesting. I parked on the east side and walked across the road and hunted 300 yds out on the west side where they normally come from. Well of course they light up only a few hundred yards from the car and the fog is soo bad I can't see more than 100 yds thru the thermal. Disgusted with the weather I headed back to the car. Set out the x24 and tried to get them closer. After a few min of kitten and pup distress/fights. I thew out an MFK Game Calls Smack lone howl. Of course right across the field right where I just came from 15 min ago. I get a response!! That bu**er was coming to my first set up and I never knew it.
I grabbed up my tripod and ran down the road and up the driveway just in time to catch him leaving the area. One lip squeak and the Sniper scope was lined up!
Crazy how he walked right over my path in and out from just 15 min earlier.

#2 vacation coyote last night. It was super foggy everywhere I went. But the Predator Thermal Optics cut thru! Took me a bit to get this female to respond. So as soon as she appeared I wasn't going to let her turn around and leave.

#3 was a bit different. We spotted him as we pulled in and scanned the area. But he was MIA when we set up and called. I told the guys we need to go around the back yard and peek over the hill! And there he was! He was headed our way. Thankfully we had apple trees to conceal our movement. He knew something was up but was just too curious to leave quickly. Mike on the spot and shot.

From the Friday tournament! #2 Watch as this young teen aged male comes in on a straight up mission. I told Nicholas Hall to watch the road because they like to run right down the center of it. Just a small touch of MFK Game Calls Den Calls on the Foxpro Inc. X24 and he was fast into the closest range Nick has ever shot one....30 yds. Way to hold the composere bud!

As most of you know...we are not real big on the tournament hunting thing. But when Nick from Beyond The Call Podcast had the idea to invite us to come "up north" and run in the Northern Nights Shootout tournament we signed right up. This was a smaller venue with 12 hr deadline and a random drawing for the prize money based on you number of coyotes taken.
It was a struggle with the bright moon and low action from the coyotes. We seen 5 and took 3.
As luck would be on our side. We were in the 2nd tier for the money random draw and ended up winning some $$$.
Video is from the 1st of the night. Listen close as you can hear Mike and Nick bullets impact nearly simultaneously.
