Just wanted to share a story ! Meet Alan , Navy Veteran , Navy Academy graduate ! ( check out his hat ) diagnosed with parkinsons 22 years ago !! He has been a client if mine for about 12 years !!! When he was diagnosed they gave him 6 years !! It is 22 years later and he is fighting the fight every day and living the best life he can !! He is an inspiration!! He always says NEVER GIVE UP !! He inspires me so i had a shirt made and showed up for his training session with it on yesterday, he was so excited he want to do a selfie which we did not do to well with so had someone take a picture 😀!! If you have this attitude you KAN do it !! NEVER GIVE UP !! We all have aches, pains as we age so take Alans advice and NEVER GIVE UP !!!

The New England Parkinson’s Ride didn’t exactly start in a fancy corporate office. It started with a classic "fine, we’ll do it ourselves" moment. 🚲

When Chris Woods was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 41, his parents, Edna and Bob, went looking for a New England-based ride to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation. They searched high and low, but found… zero. Zip. Nada.

So, being the motivated parents they are, they decided to build their own. What began as a small group of 35 determined riders in 2008 has grown into a massive family of thousands, all riding toward one goal: a cure.

The best part? 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to MJFF for research. That’s been the rule since Day 1, and it’s not changing.

We’re still here, still riding, and still fueled by that same "can-do" spirit Edna and Bob started with. Whether you’re riding 10 miles or 100, you’re part of the Woods family legacy now!
