From my up coming book....
"Even deeper than the soul lies the spirit, your direct connection to the Divine Source. This is your divine essence, beyond ego and form.
Within all of us moves something vast, something wordless.
It is not a being or a name. It is not shaped in the image of man. It cannot be seen, touched, or measured, yet it is. And I know it because I am it, you are it.
It is not outside me, it is not outside of you, perched in the heavens, judging and dividing. It is not bound by language or image or form. It is the quiet flame that burns behind thoughts. It is the stillness that watches while emotions rise and fall. It is the center of us all, before breath, beyond death.
We do not own this spirit, nor did we create it. It is not mine, it is not yours as one possesses a thing, it is me, it is you and yet greater than us all. It is the Infinite breathing through a finite vessel. It is a living field of awareness in which the play of our life unfolds.
When I look inward, not at the stories or the memories, but into the pure space of awareness itself, I feel it. The endlessness. The silent origin. It is like a wellspring that gives rise to all thoughts, all dreams, all creation.
I call it the All Force, not because it contains many things, but because there is nothing that is not it. And though I am a single thread, that thread is made of the same fabric as the whole.
This All Force does not think like we think, but we are able to think because of it. It does not speak, yet every word rides on its breath. It is not a god as humans imagine gods, it is the living presence behind all gods, all myths, all forms. It is the consciousness that dreamed the stars into being, and then stepped into form to look out through my eyes.
