Scheduling conflicts and some weather caused Jackson to miss the last 2 weekends of racing, but everything looks good for a legends/kart double header coming up!

Friday June 5th will be another new track for Jackson in the legends car with the Showdown Series at Ace Speedway! On Saturday June 6th, Jackson will be back at Trackhouse Motorplex for a double header day as he runs in 2 different kart classes on the road course.

Absolutely heartbroken for my buddy Brexton Busch and his entire family.

While crew chief dad knew Kyle from his time in NASCAR from 2006-2012, it wasn’t until the kids started racing together in 2021 that we really got a chance to know the Busch family. Jackson and Brex hit it off and became friends on and off the racetrack. From birthday parties to mini golf, sleepovers and hanging in their coach when we were on the road racing, Kyle and the entire Busch family have always been nothing but generous and kind to Jackson. We’ll miss seeing Kyle at the track and continue to keep the family in our thoughts. Hopefully we’ll be back on track with Brex in the legends car again soon!

Jackson is bummed that he’s not racing at Hickory Motor Speedway tonight, but he’ll be back in the legends car this Friday and Saturday for a doubleheader at Tri-County Speedway in the Showdown Series! Another new track for Jackson where the legends cars will be a support division for the ASA STARS National Tour.

5/9/26 Caraway Speedway race report -

Feature - P5

Another good night of racing in the legends car for Jackson! After qualifying 4th, the top 6 re-draw had him starting from the pole. He made it cleanly through the start and settled into 3rd. He ran there for a while until the leaders got into heavy lapped traffic. Jackson lost a couple of spots picking his was through the lappers but ultimately finished 5th in the caution free race.

A much better outing in the Legends car this weekend as Jackson continues to learn! The race went green to checkered with no cautions. He ran down the car in 5th but hasn’t quite figured out how to set up and execute a pass on a big, fast track like Caraway.

The crew chief has to work this weekend so Jackson will be off from racing. He’ll be back in the legends car again the weekend of May 9th.

Some weekends in racing go well, then there are others that you’d like to forget. 🤪 On track incidents, poor qualifying and an overall lack of speed made for a long weekend at Charlotte for Jackson’s first Stars Championship Series race. We made all kinds of changes to the kart but could never really get any speed out of it. Onto the next one.

Jackson will be back behind the wheel of the Legends car this Saturday, 4/25 at Caraway Speedway as a support division for the CARS Tour late model stock series!

Jackson’s first USPKS event and he was able to hold his own against some of the best karting kids in the country! While he just missed out on a top 10, it was still a great weekend overall in a highly competitive field of karts.

Jackson stays in the kart this coming weekend as he makes his first Stars Championship Series start at Charlotte Motor Speedway!

A lot of action today - good results followed by penalties, etc… and after all the dust settled, Jackson will roll off P13 for the final on Sunday! Not quite where he was hoping to be but still not bad at all given this is his first USPKS start.

Warmups at 8:30am followed by main event action around 11 tomorrow, 4/12.

After an up and down day, United States Pro Kart Series Carolina Grand Prix day 1 is in the books. Jackson made it through 4 practice rounds before ultimately qualifying in 15th place out of 42 karts. We’ve got some work to do for the heats, but Jackson usually does his best work under pressure. 💪🏻 Best we can tell, we’re the quickest single kart effort as most of the other karts are with factory teams/tents. We’re under a sweet Walmart tent 🤓

Jackson will be back on track for warmups early tomorrow, followed by 2 heats and 1 superheat to set the final lineup for Sunday.
