Photo thanks from the USAF Reserves 934th Airlift Wing deployed to Germany. Hugo provided MWR baseball uniforms, balls and bats. They also won their championship game at the 2026 Ammo Bowl. Congratulations Global Vikings, SKOL.

Event: An ISIS-K su***de bomber detonated an explosive device amid chaotic crowds trying to evacuate Afghanistan during the final phase of the U.S. military withdrawal.Casualties: The blast killed 13 U.S. service members (11 Marines, one Navy sailor, and one Army soldier) and roughly 160 to 180 civilians.

While schmoozing around at burger night (some would call it strategic networking) I took some selfies with some of our guests: we had royalty from the St. Paul Winter Carnival (in civilian cloths), and speaking of royalty, I got my picture taken with the lovely Princesses of Blue Heron Days Lino Lakes Ambassadors, our General’s table was well attended as usual, and lots of military friends with their families.

Oh what a night (reminds me of the song by the Four Seasons) and a huge thanks to the great team from Centerville Lions for serving up a whopping 256 burger meals and helping put the FUN in fundraising for our network mission in support of our military members and their families. The American Legion Hugo Post 620 was filled with a wonderful crowd of military supporters. Thanks to our regular network volunteers and our amazing kitchen staff for putting out all those delicious burger meals. ATTENTION: we could use a little help for Floyd on the grill. Thanks to the Hugo MN Lions for donating a golf foursome for military members for their annual golf classic. Service members from the USAF Reserves 934th Airlift Wing enjoyed the day. One of the service members missed the photo op.
