“Why do you go to Burning Man?! 😳
You spend SO much money… to live in the desert… covered in dust… or sometimes literally stuck in mud… with no real shower, no normal bed, and questionable bathroom situations?! 😂”
Honestly…
I ask myself the same question every year. 😂
I could spend that money on a beautiful hotel.
I could drink w**e somewhere with air conditioning. 🍷
I could do yoga on a clean beach in Hawaii. 🌺
I could sleep in a king-size bed instead of a dusty tent while wondering if that sound outside is a human, a bike, or a giant art car. 😂
But then I remember why I go.
Because for a few days, nobody cares what you do for a living, how much money you make, what you wear, how many followers you have, or what you’re supposed to be in the “real world.”
You can dance at 4 AM with complete strangers.
You can meet someone you’ve never seen before and somehow have a conversation that changes your life.
You can watch someone build something absolutely insane just because they wanted to create it.
You can walk through the desert covered in dust and somehow feel more alive than you did all year.
And yes…
You will probably be dusty.
You will probably be dirty.
You will probably be dehydrated.
You will definitely ask yourself, “WHY THE HELL AM I HERE?” at least once. 😂
And then the sun goes down…
the lights come on…
the music starts…
you look around at thousands of completely wild, beautiful humans…
…and suddenly you remember.
Ohhh. THAT’S why. ❤️🔥
Burning Man isn’t really about the desert.
It’s about temporarily stepping outside of the world you’ve built…
…and remembering who you are without it.
So yes, I pay a ridiculous amount of money to get dirty in the desert.
And honestly? Worth every dusty dollar. 😂🏜️❤️
