Falco is currently developing the Three Wheels of Magic™, a next-generation all-electric recumbent trike designed to provide safe, comfortable, and enjoyable mobility for riders of all ages. This product combines mechanical design, electric drive systems, and innovative engineering to create a unique electric mobility platform.
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern who will work directly with our engineering team in Pune on the design and development of this innovative vehicle.
Internship Overview
This internship offers the opportunity to work on a complete electric mobility product, contributing to mechanical design, prototyping, fabrication, and testing.
A key part of this role will involve 3D modeling and mechanical design using FreeCAD, helping create and refine components for the recumbent trike platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create and modify 3D models and assemblies using FreeCAD for mechanical components and sub-systems.
2. Prepare 2D engineering drawings and documentation from CAD models.
3. Assist in designing mechanical components for the All Electric Recumbent Trike, including frame structures, drivetrain elements, and mechanical assemblies.
4. Support prototype fabrication and assembly of mechanical parts.
5. Perform dimensional checks using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.
6. Assist in testing and evaluation of components and assemblies under operating conditions.
7. Analyze test results relative to design specifications and recommend improvements.
8. Review engineering drawings and verify form, fit, and function of components.
9. Assist in evaluating manufacturing methods such as machining and aluminum die casting.
10. Maintain a clean, organized engineering workspace and workshop area.
Qualifications
1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Experience or strong interest in FreeCAD for 3D modeling and parametric design.
3. Understanding of mechanical drawings and engineering blueprints.
4. Familiarity with precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
5. Interest in mechanical fabrication, prototyping, and vehicle systems.
6. Comfortable working with hands-on tools and workshop equipment.
7. Strong curiosity, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
