Today, we are highlighting Amanda, a true pillar of the Compel family who has been raising the standard with us at 503 Meade Ave for over two years.

For the past month, she has been mastering nutrition, logging and tracking her foods, adapting her habits, and making calculated adjustments that move the needle.

But what sets Amanda apart is the work she puts in when nobody is watching:
✅ Hitting home workouts and extra cardio sessions.
✅ Practicing technical movements to master her form.
✅ Sneaking in calf raises while brushing her teeth (true dedication).
✅ Committing fully to our monthly studio challenges.

One of her monthly challenges she built her wall-sit up to an incredible 5 MINUTES straight. 🤯

There are two types of lifters in this world: Those who pull with their hands, and those who drive with their elbows. Which one are you? 👇

Your back muscles don’t attach to your hands, they attach to your upper arm. That means if you are gripping the bar for dear life and pulling with your wrists, your biceps are doing most of the work, and your back development is getting left behind.

Here are some cues you can use:
A) “Drive the elbows into your back pockets.” 🎒
B) “Imagine your hands are just hooks, pull from the armpit.” 🪝
C) “Try to break the bar in half at the bottom.” 🪵
