🦶🏻 SAVE THIS for the next time your heel hurts after a run.

Do you take those first few steps out of bed in the morning and feel like you’re 90 years old? 😩

That sharp heel pain could be plantar fasciitis.

Most runners are told to:
❌ Ice it
❌ Rest
❌ Stop running
❌ Buy another brace or sock

The problem?

Your pain improves…

Then you start building mileage again and the pain comes right back. 😡

I’ve been there myself.

As a running physical therapist, running coach, and marathon runner, I’ve also helped hundreds of runners overcome stubborn heel pain without giving up running.

That’s why I created a FREE guide:

📖 How to Stop Foot Pain and Not Have to Stop Running

Inside you’ll learn:

✅ The biggest mistakes runners make with plantar fasciitis

✅ How to keep running safely during recovery

✅ The strength exercises that actually matter

✅ How to return to running faster and with more confidence

These are the same evidence based strategies I’ve used with hundreds of runners to get back to running pain free.

Medal Monday 🏅 Marathon #8 ✅

This Nutmeg State Marathon wasn't the race I originally planned to run.

Just 6 days earlier, I stepped off the course at the Buffalo Marathon and recorded my first ever DNF.

I knew I needed a better ending to this spring training cycle, so I found another start line.

And this race made me earn every mile.

12 laps.

Zero crowd support.

A long uphill grind every loop.

Technical trails, grass, wind, rain, and dropping temperatures.

It was one of those days where the conditions keep asking you the same question:

"How bad do you want to keep going?"

What I'm most proud of isn't the finish time.

I'm proud that I executed the race plan well through 15 miles.

I'm proud that reflux wasn't the limiting factor after all the work I put into dialing in nutrition and fueling.

I'm proud that I adapted to changing conditions and kept moving forward when the weather turned cold, windy, and rainy.

And I'm proud that I finished, even after realizing a PR wasn't in the cards.

The biggest lesson?

I still have another gear to develop late in the marathon.

Around mile 15, the fatigue started to build. It wasn't my breathing. It wasn't my legs burning. It was just that deep, full body exhaustion that every marathon eventually asks you to face.

As frustrating as that was in the moment, it's also exciting.

Because it gives me a clear target and Keeps the fire burning to see what my potential is in the marathon.

This training cycle proved I've built a stronger marathon foundation. I stayed 100% healthy, handled the workload well, and now have valuable data to take into the next block.

The work compounds.

And now the focus shifts to the Wineglass Marathon this fall 🍷🏃🏻‍♂️

Grateful for the lessons.

Grateful for a healthy body.

Grateful that running always gives us another opportunity to grow 🙏🏼

If every run feels hard…

You’re not training better

You’re just getting more tired.

…AND that’s why so many runners:

❌ plateau

❌ get injured

❌ lose motivation

The goal isn’t to feel destroyed after every run…

👉🏼 it’s to stay consistent long enough to improve.

If you’re training for a marathon and want a smarter way to train without burning out…

She cut 7 minutes off her half marathon…after dealing with IT band pain 🤯

Most runners think they need more rest when pain shows up…

But here’s what actually happens:
👉🏼 You stop running
👉🏼 It feels better
👉🏼 You try again
👉🏼 💥 Pain comes right back

Rachel was stuck in that exact cycle.

She got back into running during the pandemic, ramped up quickly, and started dealing with:

❌ IT band pain
❌ Foot pain from new shoes
❌ Doubt before race day

She wasn’t even sure she could run her race.

Fast forward a few months…
💥 She ran the SAME half marathon
💥 Finished 7 minutes faster
💥 And did it feeling strong and pain-free

What changed?
👉🏼 She stopped guessing
👉🏼 Followed a structured plan
👉🏼 Added strength training that actually supports running

This is what happens when you train smarter…not just harder.

If you’re stuck in the cycle of
Run → Pain → Rest → Repeat…

Most runners ignore this… because it feels too easy.

But your “party pace” runs are where the real progress happens 👇🏼

✔️ build endurance

✔️ improve recovery

✔️ stay consistent

The problem?

Most runners either go too hard… or not hard enough when it matters.

If you’re training for a marathon and want the exact structure to balance easy + hard training so you can feel strong on race day…

👉🏼 Comment 26.2 and I’ll send you my Ultimate Marathon Training Guide to help you train smarter and run with joy 💪🏼
