Pool Renovation Update!
We’re excited to share that the pool replastering is complete and the pool has been refilled!
We have now entered the final phase of the renovation process. Over approximately the next 30 days, the new plaster requires regular brushing, careful chemical balancing, and water-quality monitoring and inspections in coordination with Nevada County Health Department. Once this required startup period is complete, we can begin heating the pool, which is expected to take an additional 3–4 days. Unfortunately, this means we will not be able to reopen the pool on our previously anticipated date of September 16. We know many of you are eager to get back in the water, and we appreciate your patience as we complete these important final steps properly and ensure the pool is ready for safe, long-term use. The sauna, whirlpool bath, steam and cold plunges will remain open.
Based on this change, the current reopening schedule is:
• Wednesday, October 7: The pool will reopen for members who are comfortable swimming at a cooler temperature.
• October 7–9: We expect the pool to take approximately two to three days to reach its normal temperature of 81°F.
• Monday, October 12: Complimentary membership freezes will remain in effect through this date to allow additional time for the pool to warm fully. Aqua class could resume.
