Itasca Gun Club offers outdoor shooting programs spring through fall, and indoor shooting programs all winter.

On Saturday Sept. 12, 2026 Itasca Gun Club will be holding another youth fun day at their outdoor facility located at 28716 Prairie Lake Road Grand Rapids MN.The event runs from 8am until 1pm. ATTENTION the times for the mini Palma matches on Wednesday July 29th were for the fall schedule. On Wednesday the first line starts at 3:30 and the second line starts at 5:00. Plan to arrive early to get a spot on the firing line.

The next Mini Palma matches will be held at the Itasca Gun Clubs outdoor facility on Wednesday July 29th, 2026. First line starts shooting at 1pm. Shooters use 22 rimfire rifles with iron sights to shoot at targets at 100 yards sized to mimic shooting center fire rifles at 800, 900, and 1,000 yards. This month's Green Monster Match scheduled for Wednesday July 8th has been rescheduled to Thursday July 9th due to rain in the forecast. Matches are at 2pm 4pm and 6pm. Check the calendar on our web site www.itascagunclub.org for more details. Come on out and challenge yourself.

On Wensday June 17th Rick and Wanda Karpik held the 2nd annual Stuart and Phyllis Anderson memorial service rifle matches at Itasca Gun Clubs outdoor facility. Stuart and Phyllis were longtime members of Itasca Gun Club, Hibbing Gun Club, and Deer River Sportsman's Club. They also held many officer positions in those clubs, and were long time Minnesota Youth Fi****ms Safety instructors. Stuart also did the design work for IGC's new outdoor facility. On Saturday June 20th, 2026 from 9am until 4pm there will be a large sale of used reloading equipment, at the IGC indoor facility located at 28006 Arbo road Grand Rapids Mn.just off county highway 61 between state highway 38 and Coleraine Mn. Items include 25+ sets of reloading dies, several presses, brass tumblers, powder measures, powder scales, and other equipment to numerous to list. Some die sets are for European caliber. Come on out and see what you can find.

On Sunday June 7, 2026 Mark Irving held his annual D-Day memorial shoot at IGC's outdoor facility. It was held on 7th as there was a scheduling conflict on June 6th. The event was well attended and participants used WW II period fi****ms, some even dressed in period uniforms.

On Saturday April 25th Todd Hassell IGC's Youth Development Officer and a group of volunteers held a youth fun day at out outdoor range. All fi****ms and ammunition were provided for youth to use. 31 youths came out and were able to shoot club owned 22 rifles at steel and paper targets, they were also able fire WWII vintage rifles if they chose to. We have been notified of the passing of Mert Rima. Mert was one of the first life members of Itasca Gun Club. Mert along with Ed Zidler was instrumental in securing the clubs M1 Grands and M1 Carbines for the clubs service rifle program from the CMP. Mert was an active shooter at the club and supported the club in any way he could. Services for Mert will be June 20, 2026 at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm.
