I was going to say that this year’s Le Grand Du Nord was the kind of race that makes you look 10 years older by the finish, but my recent birthday has reminded me that I might just actually be old now. Super fun racing in conditions running the full spectrum of bad to miserable. With both the 54 and 110 mile fields combined in to one race it was fun to see some different people out there. Personally I had a bit of a “diamonds in the legs” type of day, and due to that and some shameless use of aero bars on hwy 7 came in 9th overall. As always, a complete class event and great to see everyone out embodying the 5th rule of cycling. Thanks for a great event, and to my bike for finally getting into its smallest cog when it mattered most on 7.
