Keeping it going with another Introduction to our Faculty Lineup
✨ MEET THE FACULTY | ANDRIA DAVIS ✨

We’re excited to officially welcome Andria Davis to the Dance Ascension faculty for Season 8! 🩵🖤

With nearly 20 years of dance training, Andria brings a diverse movement background to DA, with experience in Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Clogging. Her dance journey has also included performing as a member of her high school dance team and serving as an Artistic Director for her university’s dance club.

As an instructor and choreographer, Andria has created award-winning work recognized both regionally and nationally, earning top scores and choreography honors. Her approach to choreography is grounded in authenticity, intentionality, and respect for the foundations and cultures behind the styles she teaches.

Her commitment to authentic Hip Hop movement has also earned her “Street Style Vocabulary” recognition, highlighting her understanding and embodiment of foundational elements including footwork, tutting, and breaking.

But beyond the accolades, Andria believes some of the most important work happens inside the classroom. She is passionate about creating a positive, nurturing environment where dancers feel safe to challenge themselves, build confidence, discover their individuality, and grow into the artists they are meant to become.

We are so excited for our dancers to learn from Andria and for her to bring her creativity, knowledge, and passion to the DA Fam this season.

Why are our dancers learning to sew? 🧵✂️

Because being prepared for the professional world means learning what happens beyond the stage.

At The Ascension Collective, we’re not simply training dancers. We’re developing well-rounded, knowledgeable artists who understand their craft and the industry surrounding it.

This week, our Collective artists stepped away from the dance floor for their first sewing class, learning hands-on skills that connect directly to the world they’re preparing to enter.

Costumes rip. Wardrobe malfunctions happen. Auditions require preparation. Professional dancers are expected to problem-solve, adapt and understand far more than choreography.

So we teach them more.

The Ascension Collective was created to bridge the gap between being a student dancer and becoming a working artist.

Dance training.
Industry education.
Audition preparation.
Self-tapes.
Professional development.
Guest artists.
Creative exploration.
Life skills.

Because the goal isn’t simply to raise great dancers.

It’s to prepare artists who know what to do when the music stops, too. ♾️

🌞✨ Rise & Shine PreK Open House is coming up! ✨🌞

🏠August 21st 5pm-7pm

Come meet your teachers, play some games, make some crafts, explore our classroom, and have tons of FUN!

While your little one gets a taste of Rise & Shine, parents will have the opportunity to see exactly what their preschooler will be learning, experience some of our daily activities, and learn more about what makes our program special. 🩵

Haven’t registered for PreK yet? That’s okay—but don’t wait!

We intentionally keep our class sizes small so every child receives the individual attention they need to learn, grow, build confidence, and have fun.

Because a love of learning starts early and at Rise & Shine, we believe preschool should be a place where children are excited to learn, excited to explore, and excited to come back each day. 🌈✨
