This is a post I knew I would eventually have to write, but that doesn’t make it any easier. ❤️
After almost 14 incredible years, CKO Kickboxing Freehold’s final day will be September 15th.
It’s hard to put into words what this place has meant to me. CKO Freehold was never just a gym. It was people. Relationships. Friendships. A community. A family.
Over the years, I’ve watched people walk through our doors looking for a workout and leave with friendships that lasted years. I’ve watched lives change, confidence grow, goals get crushed, and people become stronger versions of themselves.
When COVID hit, we lost nearly 50% of our membership. The easy decision at that time probably would have been to close our doors.
But I couldn’t do it.
I loved CKO too much.
I loved our members, our instructors, our staff and everything this place represented. So we kept going and I will always be incredibly proud that we did.
Those extra years gave us more classes, more friendships, more theme weeks, more laughs, more sweat and so many memories I wouldn’t trade for anything.
As we head into our final month, I don’t want this to feel like a funeral.
I want it to be a celebration. 🥊❤️
I want to see current members, former members and old friends back in the studio.
Let’s pack the room, turn the music up and make a few more memories together.
MORE TO COME!
🥊 We are working with a couple of local fitness studios on special opportunities for our CKO members.
🥊 We will share information about purchasing our heavy bags and other CKO equipment for anyone interested.
🥊 And YES we will be having a CKO Freehold Farewell Party during our final days together. Details coming soon!
To every person who has walked through our doors over the past almost 14 years
THANK YOU.
Whether you were with us for 14 years, 14 months or 14 days, you helped make CKO Freehold what it became.
We still have one more month together.
One more month. One big celebration. Let’s make it count. ❤️🥊
With more gratitude than I can put into a post,
Mike
