💙 Meet Laura Cheek, PT, DPT! 💙

We’re excited to welcome Laura back to Nashville and to our Bellevue team! ⭐

Laura is originally from Nashville, TN, and she earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Georgia. After graduating, she worked as a PT Technician at our Patterson Street clinic before moving to Memphis to attend physical therapy school at UT Health Sciences.

Laura has been part of the STAR family for several years, including a year at our Patterson Street clinic and working during breaks while she was in PT school. Now, she’s excited to be back in Nashville and begin this next chapter of her career with our Bellevue team!

Outside the clinic, Laura enjoys walks in the park, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. She’s looking forward to getting to know her fellow clinicians and continuing to learn and grow in the outpatient setting!

STAR Physical Therapy is proud to support Davidson Academy student-athletes throughout the week and on game day.

Our Davidson Academy Sports Medicine team includes Athletic Trainer William Dunham, MS, ATC, LAT, and Physical Therapist Mike Park, PT, DPT, VRT, Cert. DN. Mike works at the school three days a week, providing on-site physical therapy. They work alongside Davidson Academy’s team physician, Dr. Brandon Downs of Orthopaedic Specialists, to provide comprehensive care for Davidson Academy athletes.

We’re celebrating Miguel as he graduated from physical therapy at our Franklin clinic! 💙

After undergoing a quad tendon repair, Miguel put in the hard work throughout his recovery and continued pushing himself during work conditioning to get back to his job. He made it back in record time! 💪

We’re proud of the dedication and determination he showed along the way. Congratulations, Miguel! We’re cheering you on as you get back to doing what you love! 👏
