Tennessee Golf Association The TGA was organized on June 5, 1914 to "promote the game of golf in the state of Tennessee."

In 1914, the Tennessee Golf Association (TGA) was organized at Memphis Country Club as an association of five private clubs. The objective of the Association, as stated in its Constitution, "shall be to promote the game of golf in Tennessee." From these small origins the TGA has become an association which now includes over 220 member clubs, courses, and organizations, comprised of over 37,000 individuals from across the state.

Golf Courses 🤝 Native Birds

Golf courses provide a perfect place for native Tennessee birds like the Eastern Bluebird and the Tree Swallow. The mowed grass provides the ideal spot to hunt insects to feed their young and also provide golfers with an up close, firsthand look at beautiful wildlife.

Coolest customer at the Tennessee Senior Amateur… goes to Knoxville’s Todd Burgan. The only under-par round of the tournament belonged to him on the challenging course that is Lookout Mountain Club!

🐶Good Dogs and Good Golf🐶

Meet the pups of Lookout Mountain Club!

Vinnie and Sally make sure things are up to s***f on top of the mountain here and they do a GREAT job! Vinnie is the energetic one who runs around the course with his dad, course superintendent Erik Guinther.

Sally is the stoic (and sometimes sleepy) supervisor who keeps an eye on the whole team. She belongs to, Jeff, and is a local celebrity on and around the mountain.

Both 13/10 good dogs!
