🏊‍♀️ WELCOME BACK, INDOOR POOL! 🏊‍♂️

The wait is finally over! 🎉 Our Indoor Pool officially reopens at 5:00 AM on Tuesday, September 1st following a much-needed renovation!

We’ve been hard at work making important improvements to provide a safer, better experience for our members, including:

🔹 New pool decking
🔹 Removal of the old drain system and installation of a brand-new system
🔹 Floor repairs and balancing to create proper water flow
🔹 Removal of trip hazards
🔹 Overall improvements to the pool area

We’re excited to welcome you back and can’t wait for you to enjoy the improvements! 💦

BUT… there’s a little bittersweet news. 💔

With the Indoor pool reopening, our OUTDOOR pool will officially close for the season. This decision is based on availability of lifeguard staffing as we transition into the fall season.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who enjoyed the Outdoor Pool this summer! ☀️💦 You made it one to remember!

We’ll see you in the water at 5am! 💙

Due to an unforeseen staffing shortage, the Franklin Family YMCA Outdoor Pool area will be closing at 4:00 p.m. today, August 28.

We apologize for the short notice and for any inconvenience that this may cause. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you or anyone that you know are interested in joining our lifeguard team, you can find more information and apply here. If you’re ready to keep our pools safe, have fun while working and make a positive impact, this could be the job for you!

The YMCA of Middle Tennessee’s Fall Youth Theater Classes offer a fun, supportive space where kids can build communication skills, creativity, teamwork, empathy, focus, and self-expression.

🎭 Ages 6–8: Silly Story Factory
Kids will create funny characters, goofy situations, and silly scenes through theater games and teamwork. The session ends with a hilarious student showcase!

🌟 Ages 9–12: Heroes, Heroines & Legends
Students bring myths, legends, and hero stories to life while learning storytelling, emotional expression, and ensemble performance. The session concludes with an inspiring showcase!

UPDATE: As we prep for the closing of the INDOOR lap, therapy, and whirlpool, we will close this Sunday, 26 at 3pm. The closure is needed to drain all bodies of water to begin construction.

OUTDOOR POOL WILL REMAIN OPEN, weather permitting.

Upcoming Indoor Pool Construction

To continue providing a safe, high-quality aquatic experience for our members, the indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room will be closed temporarily from July 27 through September 1.

During this time, we will be completing essential concrete repairs and infrastructure improvements, including installing new floor drains and re-leveling sections of the pool deck that have settled over time. These improvements will enhance the safety, functionality and longevity of our aquatic area.

We understand this closure may be an inconvenience, and this was not a decision we made lightly. However, these improvements are necessary to maintain the quality and safety of our facility, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important project.

The Outdoor Pool will remain open throughout this period of construction (weather permitting).

How will I access the Outdoor Pool?

Please enter the facility and check in at the Welcome Center as usual. After scanning in, our staff will direct you to exit through the doors near Studio 2. You'll then enter the outdoor pool area by the Snack Shack entrance.

Will the Daddy & Me dressing rooms and Adult Men's dressing room still be available?

Yes. Members using these dressing rooms will also access the outdoor pool by exiting through the doors near Studio 2. During construction, this will be the designated entrance and exit for the outdoor pool area.

As with any construction project, timelines are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen construction needs. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these necessary improvements to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all members.

We’re excited to celebrate a new partnership between the Franklin Family YMCA and L.L.Bean in our beloved Franklin community.

As part of their grand opening, L.L.Bean generously donated $10,000 to support the YMCA’s mission. This incredible gift will help provide financial assistance through our Open Doors Program, support our After Breast Cancer (ABC) 16-week program, and strengthen many other life-changing initiatives that serve our community.
