Doctors Park Friends A group to organize community involvement and advocacy for Doctors Park. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. and last approximately one hour.

Seeking to establish a network of volunteers to perform park maintenance, program coordination, and park advocacy. Doctors Park Friends invites you to attend monthly planning meetings – all held at the Fox Point Police Station. The Friends group is looking for volunteers to help with the following initiatives:


1. Community outreach through marketing and public relations to promote the preservat

ion and enjoyment of Doctors Park.
2. Raise funds for restoration and enhancement of the park through gifts solicitation and memberships.
3. Plan and organize special events within the Park.
4. Volunteer for weed-out events and clean-up days including the beach.

Mark your calendar for our big three weedouts. The Friends have made real progress removing invasive plants to protect the wonderful native plants in Doctors Park that benefit birds and many pollinators. Let's keep up the good work...

We are thinking of spring! Our first weedout for the year will be Saturday, April 18 from 9am to Noon. Protect beautiful spring native plants by removing Arttic Scilla. Those purple flower may look pretty but this plant is aggressive. It reproduces by seed and bubblers, so it creates a dense Matt that crowds out EVERTHING else. See you then.
