Do HR professionals need a career coach for themselves?
Most HR pros would think that they don’t need career coaching in their lives simply because they are known to have excessive experiences when it comes to making employment decisions.
Since they deal with so many job seekers every day, they probably know the tricks when it comes to job hunting and it is reasonable to expect them to have an edge in landing a job.
However, this isn’t the case for all HR pros.
Considering their profession, there would come a time that they might forget what it feels like the other way around. Here are some things they’re missing out on:
• Feel the need to give “right” answers instead of giving “genuine” answers when they are the ones being interviewed
• Being overly competitive—thinking that they know exactly everything they need to do during a job search
• Familiarity with what happens in a hiring process, but failing to recognize their own strengths and values
• Having experience with offering salary range, but have ineffective negotiation skills for themselves
This is when they should seek help from a career coach. Here are some benefits you can get from a career coach:
• Most beneficial when you want to step up your career
• Guide you in developing plans that effectively yields results when searching for jobs
• Having someone along your journey side-by-side
• Keep you on track and motivated
Sure, there are so many ways to find jobs by yourself, but if all your efforts aren’t getting you any results, then maybe it’s time to ask for help. Try and consider investing for yourself by getting a career coach.
