MIU Recreation Center Public recreation center The MIU Recreation Center is located in Fairfield, IA. Stop by for a tour today.

We have state of the art exercise equipment from Cybex, a rock wall, bouldering wall, 6 outdoor hard tennis courts, 4 indoor hard tennis courts, 4 courts for volleyball, basketball, ping-pong, & badminton. We also have a 25 meter outdoor pool where we provide swim lessons for the general public.

Dear Members,

Please note that all tennis courts are reserved on Saturday, May 16, 2026, for the District High School Boys’ Tennis Tournament, in the event of rain or excessively windy conditions.

If weather conditions permit outdoor play—meaning no rain or strong winds—the Recreation Center tennis courts will remain open to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis.

If the tournament needs to move indoors due to weather, participants will use the reserved courts at the Recreation Center.

At that time, current players will be asked to vacate the courts so tournament play can continue.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
