📚🩰 IDC now has a boarding and day school! 📓✏️🧑🩰🎓
We are over the moon to officially announce the ‘Iowa Dance Collective School’ - IDC’s boarding and day school, fully integrated into the student’s academic day.
So, now that you’ve read through the pictures, here’s exactly how the school works ⬇️
📓 DAY STUDENT OPTIONS -
Fairfield Community School District: For grades 6-12, through the dual enrollment program, students will attend the Fairfield public high school and middle school for morning class, then after lunch, will come to Iowa Dance Collective for their dance training. (Full homeschool option also available).
Maharishi School: For grades 9-12, this option is for day students and runs very similar to the public/homeschool option. You attend your academics in the morning and after lunch you attend IDC for your dance training.
🛌📚BOARDING STUDENT OPTION:
Maharishi School: For grades 9-12, this option is for out of town, state, or country students looking for a rigorous dance education built into their academic day. You will live on campus with the other boarding students of Maharishi School, the Niche rated #1 Private High School in Iowa, receive your academics there and after lunch you come to IDC for your dance training.
Our curriculum is primarily ballet focused, with cross training in modern and contemporary. Students at IDC School learn more than just how to dance, they learn what it takes to be a dancer. We teach them anatomy and physiology, nutrition and mental health awareness, strength training, and dance history. When you leave the IDC School, you will have the training, tools and knowledge needed for a career in professional dance.
