Today we pause.

Not for a sale.
Not for attention.
Not for another day off.

We pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

Their sacrifice gives us the opportunity to live with purpose, train with discipline, lead our families, serve our communities, and never take this life for granted.

At Passion for Fitness, we remember.
We honor.
We are grateful.

Freedom was not free.

Most movement limitations don’t show up as pain first, they show up as compensation.

🚫 Slide 1: Right trunk rotation restricted
✅ Slide 2: Right trunk rotation passes

A trunk rotation screen can reveal limitations that may influence how the body moves during strength training, conditioning, and daily activities.

When rotation becomes limited, the body may borrow movement from somewhere else:

• Hips
• Lower back
• Shoulders
• Neck

At Passion for Fitness we focus on:

✔️ Restore function
✔️ Build strength
✔️ Improve movement quality

Can your body rotate without compensation?

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

Today we honor the women who carry more than anyone sees.
The mothers who sacrifice quietly, love deeply, pray constantly, and keep showing up even when they’re exhausted.

Strength isn’t always found in the gym.
Sometimes it’s found in patience.
In forgiveness.
In late nights.
In early mornings.
In never giving up on your family.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed.”
— Proverbs 31:28

To all the moms in our Passion for Fitness family:
Thank you for your love, your strength, and your example.

TRX Sling Squat

Pelvic stability first.
This exercise helps clean up knee tracking when the squat begins.

If the knee wants to drift, collapse, or lose position, the sling gives feedback so the client can control the movement and own the pattern.

Stability at the pelvis helps create better mechanics all the way down.

Bridging Without Losing Your Stack

Neck position drives rib position.
Rib position drives pressure.
Pressure protects the spine.

This is why we don’t just “bridge.”

Deadlift technique progressional work!
Banded hip hinge —-> Kettlebell box deadlifts
This progressional work helps to pattern our hinge movement and teach glute/hamstring tension throughout the full range of motion!

Supine Bent-Knee RNT ASLR
Light bands on the toes = better hip flexion mechanics.
Goal: psoas activation + core control without compensations.
If the hip flexors “turn off,” the body will steal motion somewhere else.
Save this for your warm-up.
Quick reset for hip flexion + core.
✅ Psoas “turns on”
✅ Less low-back grabbing
✅ Better control for squats, running, and getting out of pain
6 reps each side. Breathe. Own the range.
