Great review from Jillian... "My second year in a row utilizing Ely Outfitting for a trip into the BWCAW! Last year I rented my canoe for the trip, this year I brought my younger brother & we rented a canoe, camp chairs, a Garmin device for emergency SOS and rope system for keeping food out of reach of bears, and we stayed in their bunkhouse for the night before our entry into the Boundary Waters!. The staff were knowledgeable, helpful, kind and courteous, helping us practice lifting and carrying our canoe (especially helpful for my brother, who has MUCH less experience than I in this area), and getting the canoe secured to my car. Just like last year, the staff all seemed to be having a great time too. What initially sold me last year on working with them was seeing the ‘All Are Welcome’ sign on their website; feeling safe in this part of the Midwest is important to me as a sometimes-solo female traveler & outdoor enthusiast. In addition to consistent, top-notch customer service, their queer-friendliness and vocal advocacy that the outdoors is for everyone is what keeps me coming back. I’m always happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a company to work with for outfitting, trip planning, guide services and supplies; I look forward to continuing the relationship for years to come!"

Great review from Steve... "Ely Outfitting Co. is a class act. Their communication throughout the planning process was on point, staff answered emails quickly and were super friendly and informative on the phone. I felt confident that my trip with my dad vs and two teenage boys was going to be a success.
We did a complete outfitting package. When we showed up we were immediately greeted by friendly staff and were oriented to gear we would be taking on our trip. The gear was high quality and in great shape.
We stayed in a bunkhouse the night before our trip and it was very comfortable and convenient.
Our 6-day BWCAW trip was awesome all around. Thanks Ely Outfitting Co.!"

Great review from Megan... "We had a wonderful experience! Ely Outfitting Co makes everything so easy and everyone who works there is an absolute pleasure to work with. We did a 3 night trip from Fall Lake and rented 2 canoes and a bear hanging kit. Everything was ready for us including tips on where to stay, where to catch the best fish, and other items to know. Greg was amazing at getting us all set up with the canoes on the car and making sure we were well prepared. We also loved getting some last minute Water bottles from the shop too. The bathrooms are also super clean and much needed before trekking out, plus filling up the water bottles before we left too. Overall it was a wonderful experience!"

Today we reunited with a group we've been outfitting for annual BWCAW trips for the last 12 years, and another group we've been outfitting for annual trips for 10 years. Yesterday, we outfitted a group who has traveled with us for 15 years! How does the time fly?! Really nice to see these familiar faces.

Feeling a bit contemplative as we celebrate 20 years of Boundary Waters adventure and meeting lots of amazing, adventurous, good folks. Much appreciation. -Jason
