I apologize for not updating this page very often.
I’ve been out enjoying my neighborhood (BWCAW). Next week permit season ends here and autumn is really putting on a show. Also it sounds like the Quetico is going to drop the Covid restrictions so maybe I can squeeze a trip in up there too. Either way I’ll be out exploring as much as I can before the snow flies. Thanks for putting up with my tardiness.😎
Here’s some of my stuff from this summer.

I just caught the end of this:

Last night we were treated to an unexpected, brief and incredible display of aurora borealis. Around 830, the sky exploded with overhead aurora. As that faded, the camera started picking up a deep, red arc stretching from east to west in a large arc. The deep red, not visible to the naked eye, is known as a SAR arc, or sub auroral red. It was photographed as far south as Iowa last night. You just never know what you'll see in our dark, northern skies.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve come on here and shared. Sorry, I’ve been super busy… still getting dialed in… setting up shop and living on the edge of the BWCAW. Here’s a few pics from my recent day trips.

Back out in the BWCAW the past couple days. Judging from the looks I’m getting with the only canoe on my car... I may be the first person paddling some of this stuff this season.
