It was a great conclusion to the season at yesterday’s final single A State Championship! The boys had a season best time in the 4x800 m relay. Violet broke the class A record in the 100m, 200m and an all class record in the 400m. The girls team took a 2nd place state title! What a great ending to the season!

We had a long rain delay this evening during the finals at the state meet. We are just getting started again and Violet has two more races to go. A beautiful double rainbow just came out to get the meet back in action. The boys 4x800 relay had a great race for a season best. Violet placed 2nd in the 100m finals, setting a new school record and a new state class A record. 1st place broke the all class state record! Very fast times!!!

The Ely Wolves Track & Field team is off to a great start on day one of the Minnesota State Track and Field Championships. Lydia took 6th in the high jump, Kaylin took 9th in discus, and Violet took 1st in the 200m (prelims), 1st in the 400m (prelims), and 2nd in the 100m (prelims). Violet will run all three races again tomorrow in the finals, along with the boys' 4x800m relay.
