Kowalke Effingham Tennis Lessons All Ages

Tennis has become a big part of my life, so I want to share the fun at a reasonable price to either get them started or to build off their foundation.

Update Few spots still left so can get some more friends into groups.

Mon 330-430, maybe also mon 430-530 if can move people around, and Thurs 430-530 4-6 years old
Mon 530-630, Tues 430-530, and fri 430-530 6-10 year olds
Wed 530-630 and Fri 530-630 Jr high kids

6 Week price only $60 for 1 day a week and $120 for 2 days a week. It is ok to pay as you go $10 each time out as long as let me know if unable to make it in case too small of a group.

Private lessons are $30 for an hour for 1 person/family $15 each for 2-3 people

Currently have openings for private lessons whether regular or occasional Tues 630-730pm, Wed 330-430pm, Thurs 330-430pm, thurs 630-730pm, Fri 330-430pm, Fri 630-730pm and lots of room sun afternoon/early evening. Any homeschoolers or adults also have wed and Fri 230 and before.

Fall Playing:
Sept 7th - Oct 18th 6 weeks with 2 weeks after as makeup from rain or High School teams using all courts for matches. If for some reason some groups don’t get canceled I have no problem doing extra, but in my experience that hardly ends up happening and can even be less than 6 weeks.
Lessons will be at Evergreen Tennis Courts behind pool on way to sports complex with occasional backup at Effingham High School courts. Sundays will always be at Effingham HS courts though.

I also restring rackets for $30 and in most cases it will be ready next day. I still have various tennis type needs available for sale as well or happy to help point you in the right direction.

Looking for kids interested in learning to play tennis this Fall aged 5 years old and above in a fun relaxed group setting, so please pass this long to anybody who might be interested.

I have more space in my availability than usual over the past 13 or so years doing this. I do not use helpers anymore as I like to be involved every step of the way and like to keep groups smaller to allow for better attention to each kid. I try to focus on whatever level they are at to help them build confidence. Also love to set them up for success even if just small steps and yes I do tend to get more excited than the kids do.

Fall Playing:

Well what would we do without Spring in Illinois bouncing all over the place with the weather. We will be in full swing come mid to late march, but have some people doing private lessons on the good days in the meantime. So if interested in either group or private, please get in contact with me 217-343-2027 to discuss options available as there is still room most days. If looking to buy some tennis items, I still have new rackets for kids and adults cheaper to good quality rackets at a discount, semi used tennis balls 10 for $3, tennis bags, ball hoppers, ladder for mobility drills and even a tennis net. I even restring rackets as well. I am more than happy to talk tennis as has become a big part of my life and like to share it with others as they begin or advance along their tennis journey.

Just wanted to thank you all for a great fall tennis season. For those of you were unable to play tennis with us this fall season and everyone else, I hope that the school year is starting off well so far. Also thank you to those who have donated old tennis rackets as they will get good use to kids trying out tennis, but don't have 1. Some people have been asking me about tennis type stuff for Christmas etc, so for anybody interested I have new and even some slightly used rackets, tennis bags and racket cases, ball hopper, semi used tennis balls, shock absorbers, even a tennis net and an agility ladder for sale. I can regrip and restring rackets as well. Hope that everyone has a great end of the year and start of the new year and hopefully will see them all before too long again.

Definitely another interesting spring where some days of the week got hit with lots of rain and wind and other days played most every week. Summer is right around the corner and as usual we are going to be filled up, but there are still some spots left if haven’t gotten in touch with me. Group lessons start as low as $7 for an hour and private lessons at only $25 for an hour to give kids a chance to have fun with tennis. If can’t commit to a time, no problem at all. We allow people to drop in or being part of a substitute list. Schedules get even crazier even when no school, so I understand and want to be available for anyone looking for some tennis fun. Always get a nice mixture of new and returning players of which some will do fall, spring and summer or just summer and that is ok as just happy to be a part of their tennis lives. Well it is finally time to be back out playing tennis again and I am so excited to be back out there with all of the kids again after a long time off due to the cold winter months. Most of the spring is all filled up whether private lessons or groups, but if interested please get in contact as soon as possible and I'll see if can find a spot for you. I will have more availability over the summer, but don't like to tell kids no. This is why I like to keep the cost lower and i will always try my best.to find the best place for them whether beginner or more advanced.

I am so excited to be starting up tennis again this week for the fall, now that school has started and kids settling in. Everything is basically full for ages 5 and up and I couldn't be happier as they are all like my kids and want to see them succeed. I tend to get more excited than they do when things start to click for them. Main goal is for them to have fun, then to build up their confidence even if just small steps as believe helps them even outside of tennis. Groups start out at $7 per kid for the full hour up to $25 for private lessons for an hour.

While Spring Tennis season quickly came to an end combined with Summer quickly starting, it created lots of interactions with new and returning players. Just the way I like it because time always flies when you are having fun. Summer is basically full of 40 hours per week (can go over if only way to make it work) with private lessons of $22/hour to several groups at $7/hour per kid. Even have a running sub list to those that wanted an occasional 2nd lesson per week or don't have a set schedule to commit to because life gets even crazier once school gets out with family and other sports/activities. I understand the life of a busy parent and happy to assist where I can to include tennis in your busy life and only pay for when can come. Weather until this recent stretch has been unbelievably nice. Groups were supposed to start this week, but most have not been able to go. We however did get some playing for private lessons in for the past few weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed being back out on the courts. I can't wait to meet all of the new kids coming up and those returning that I haven't been able to see for several months.

Summer plans will start to organize mid April and have it start mid to late May. I've had several people contact me already for that so have made notes and everybody will be contacted to make sure included if at all possible.

Spring is trying to come early this year. Private lessons always $20 for full hour, $10 per kid if 2 kids and $7 per kid for 3 or more kids. I really want to give kids a chance to learn and have fun all while building confidence in themselves as it should be about them. I will challenge them for whatever they are ready for as I want to help them as much as can. Everything almost all finalized, but still a little room for kids and adults every day. Starting at age 5 for most part with a few exceptions.
