First of all, Effingham played well and won the game, but sometimes, the scoreboard do not tell the whole story.

We started the game with one of our captains, a central back, unable to play, so Eli Hiatt (Sr), another of our captains, stepped up to lead the defense. Jackson LaSarge (Fr) played well as a center back, even with a previous injury.

Early in the first half, Graham Miller (So) scored the opening goal, and we were up. Effingham was able to pe*****te the defense as injuries started to plague us, and score 4 times, but we were playing very well, and producing chances.

In the half time, we had to replace Jackson. We continue to struggle with injuries, with another defender having to come out, making it 6, and finally, Eli got injured, leaving us with one starting defender, who also got hurt. At 7 goals with took most of the starters, which allowed the last 3 goals.

Our team played hard and we want to thank Jackson and Eli for their great efforts. Please pray for their recovery, as well as the other two defenders. Joy LaSarge (Ju), Alex Koester (Ju), Mason Jones (Sr), and Graham Miller (So) played very well. And we want to thank Brynn Bartimus (So), Marty Scheidemantel (Fr), and Chae Swick (Ju) and Rosey Warner (So) for their great effort today.

It is hot!!!!

Even thought we lost, I am very proud of they way we played and the fight of our team.

In the first half, we pushed through injuries and created a lot of opportunities, and finished 0-0.

Two mistakes gave Robinson the opportunity to score on us, and we fought back creating many opportunities. Joey LaSarge (JU) drew a penalty and score it with about ten minutes left, and we kept getting close.

Issac Fallert (SR) and Eli Hiatt (SR) worked hard to keep our defense safe most of the game. Jackson LaSarge (FR) was our MVP playing many positions. Brynn Bartimus (FR) and Alex Koester (JU) worked hard shutting down the mid-field in the first half. Mason Jones (SR) and Graham Miller (SO) worked hard in the wings, even thought they were double teamed all the time.

We play them again on Monday, and look forward to good game.

Hard loss today.

We made various mistakes early , and that partly is because we have a young team.

We settle down and played better in the second half. Looking forward working on getting better.

We have great kids!
