RUNNERS NEEDED!!!
Let help our community. This Race needs some runners bad.
After digging into this organization more I feel this event and what it benefits truely deserves attention and the community of runners behind it.

Guadalupe Project currently serves as a helping hand to young families, providing material assistance to anyone in need. Guadalupe Project provides diapers, wipes, formula, bathing necessities, clothing, maternity clothes, prenatal vitamins, pregnancy tests, and other items. We have served families from Clay, Wayne, Richland, Effingham, and Marion counties. As Guadalupe Project continues to grow, more programs will be added to continue this mission. Your support allows Guadalupe Project to continue meeting the needs of people in local communities.

THE RUNNIN OF THE IRISH IS BEING CANCELLED Saturday March 21, 2020

In the past we have had great turn out for this race 300+ and we are very disappointed just like you that we are canceling. With COVID 19 virus prevention on social distancing and 250 gathering ban as well as pleas from our local government, family and friends.

We want to keep the health of you and your loved ones safe. A lot of you that are running this race are healthy and will be able to fight this virus. But if you were unknowingly infected or become infected and to pass it to someone who can not fight it off that would be devastating and we are not willing to put anyone in that position. Nor do we want our event to be irresponsible in thinking that "It just won't happen to us".

We have already ISSUED REFUNDS to all participants IN FULL including all registration and processing fees that had been collected. We wish only for this problematic circumstance to quickly be resolved. So that many things including running events and being with our best friends in the healthiest settings can come true once more without fear. We do urge you to join us in running the event virtually, run 3.1 miles on your own time or with friends or at another race. We will send an email with further instructions on the Free Virtual option. We will continue to have other events coming up, We will always be happy to see you there.

Please all our friends stay healthy in the upcoming weeks.

Registration is Open.
March 21st 2020 at 10:00AM at Tuscan Hills Winery.

So we promised an announcement,
We will be moving the Runnin of the Irish location to the Tuscan Hills Winery. This year as we learn our new venue and create a new experience for our runners we have decided to have a 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run.
As the grounds near the Winery have some beautiful homes amazingly supportive businesses.
We would love to have the 10k course this year but we want to make sure the new venue and course is safe for our runners before expanding the resources and personnel out to a 10k distance we hope you understand and hope to see all our 5k and 10k runners back again from years past as we develop this new venue into a great new experience.

The Runnin' of the Irish is on Saturday March 16, 2019. It includes the following events: 5k Run/Walk and 10k Run.
