Kowalke's Kids Volleyball Group Lessons

Unfortunately doesn't appear to be enough time in the week to get Volleyball in this fall. My younger daughter is in season (taking some of the days I could offer because don't want to miss her matches) and my oldest is away to college (my biggest helper). I will still be doing Tennis, but apologize that I can't seem to squeeze in Volleyball too.

As of right now we are still needing some kids for the Monday 330-430 time slot more geared towards 5th grade and younger to work on fundamentals. Wed 515-615 time slot can get 1 or 2 more of 4th grade and older to challenge them more with formations etc. I always work with each kid individually to challenge them, so if they are ready for more will keep pushing them in the right direction. All while keeping it fun for them. Please let me know if you have any questions as I would be more than happy to go over more details. Tennis takes most of my attention, but want to make sure Volleyball is out there for those that want to learn about that as well.

Volleyball Options will be:

Mon 330-430 geared towards more 4th grade and younger of basics.

Wed 515-615 geared towards 5th grade and above with more about rotations and challenges.

As always whatever level they are at I try to challenge them individually and help them to improve even if it is just small levels of success. All while having fun.

I am so excited as has been too long since could play tennis and volleyball outside!!!!! The weather hopefully will be here to stay as that was quite the quick turnaround from freezing and snow to 50s and sun. So have quickly been scrambling to get some things set up earlier than normal. I've been starting to contact some people (I have more to go) and some have contacted me from the past sessions for small group and private as well. Then will try to get at least a little larger group for a couple of hours in for tennis and volleyball as can. I will definitely fill up even if I end up doing 30 hours a week. So if interested whether have played with me or not, please let me know details of age and ability (if I haven't worked with them before) and definitely times/days that work or don't work. I can try to find a small group for them if don't already have some in mind. Otherwise there is always the summer, but I will do what I can to get everyone who wants to play and learn something at least an hour a week. They all become my kids and want the best for them and I want to see their confidence and skill set improving over time. I still have plenty of energy to share with them as most of the time I get more excited than they do. I am always happy to talk about volleyball and your kids as have become a big part of my life.

Hope everyone is doing fairly well and for most part family staying healthy. Definitely a strange time we are living in. Especially since grade school sports are canceled we want to be there for those needing or wanting to play Tennis or Volleyball. I have loved getting to know the kids over the years whether for a short time or for a longer time.

I still have plenty of energy to give as usually get more excited than the kids do when something goes well. I will cap off groups at 10 and will use 1 helper if closer to the 10 if working with younger kids. Older kids will work with them by myself. If just working with me will probably cap off at 5 kids so they can get enough practice and not get too bored. Unless it is older kids as we can move faster and get more hits in with them. I expect to be full as will limit it to Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun. Can do an occasional Thurs, but if my daughters have a match that day will take precedence. Will start each day at 3:30 and can go until 7:30 to provide 4 lessons each of the days with the exception of Sundays which can get in several. So if you have certain other kids want to play with or want me to just group up similar age and ability, no problem. We will start right after Labor Day for 6 weeks unless someone wants to start a little earlier or end a little later. This way for those of you who want to get settled in the new normal for the start of school, I totally understand. This way either way you can think about what you may want to do and what will work best for you.

If Private of one person or one family, will be $15 per hour. 2 people $7.50 per person and 3 or more people would be $5 per person

2020 SPRING TENNIS & VOLLEYBALL
FOR: 5 year olds – 8th grade Boys and Girls for Tennis can be HS girls if want and 5 year olds - 6th for Volleyball boys and girls. There is a mixture of new players and experienced, so don’t be afraid to join in as you will fit perfectly. As some will say it is even better if having friends join in the fun, so feel free to pass it along.
Tennis and Volleyball Program Starts Monday Mar 16th – 6 weeks worth of play as we know weather can't always be trusted so will be enough makeup before school gets out.
Days: Mondays, Wednesdays and/or Fridays (if times don't work I can try to see if something can be done, otherwise there will always be next time) as can pick one day or multiple days (Discounts Apply). All will be held at Evergreen Tennis Courts and space is limited as we filled up last fall for 1 hour and very close on the other days/times.
Tennis as follows:
Mondays 5 years and Older 4-5 pm and Wednesdays 5-6 pm and/or Fridays 5-6pm (tend to be more the older kids 10 & older).
Volleyball as follows:
Mondays are for 5-12 year olds 5-6 pm and Wednesdays 4-5pm. We have softer balls for the much younger kids as well.
Even within each hour will try to separate them to best be with friends and/or ability for an even better experience. I have several tennis rackets available at no additional charge to use during camp to try out the sport without having to buy that as well.
Total Cost of the Program for Full 6 Weeks:

Oh my has time flown this Fall already. I really enjoy being out there with all of these wonderful kids. They are like my own and I want to see them have fun and see success, even if it is small. Since we have not had any rain cancellations only hot days, we only have one more session for each of the days. the last days are as follows:

Monday Oct 7th
Wednesday Oct 9th

A wonderful start to the Fall Session with a great mixture of new faces and returning faces and some good helpers to allow me to work with even more kids. I always love it when can get past the organizational stuff and just get out there and have fun with the kids. I take great pride in giving it my all to make it as fun as possible for as many each and every time out. I love the process of setting them up for success so they can feel good about themselves and watch their eyes light up or excitement come out when something goes right for them even if it is just a small step. But at the same time challenge them to get better. Sometimes I show more excitement than they do, but I absolutely love the stories I hear where the kids will talk off the ears of anybody who would listen to them because they had that much fun. This is primarily about them, so even though I am far from perfect I will try to give it my all every time out there as that is the least I can do for them. I understand the life of a busy parent, so I greatly appreciate the trust and the time that all of these parents give to allow me to work with their wonderful children. I am always happy to answer any questions because they are your kids and totally understand you want to do everything you can for them etc. because you love them. When they are out there with me, they are like my own kids, so I want the best for them too. To all of doing this session with me, I can't wait to see you again. For those of you who haven't done anything with me yet, I will have plenty of fun left for when I get to meet you for the first time.

I am looking for some energetic people who like working with kids for 5 weeks starting week of Sept 9th. For those unaware, I like to share and be excited about Tennis and Volleyball with the younger kids ages 5 and up, just separating within each of the hours based on age/ability. With that said, there is only so much of me to go around so I need some help as I want to include as many kids as I can. Tennis and/or Volleyball experience is a plus but not a necessity and willing to pay for this help and yes this can be a parent of one of these wonderful kids. Just difficult with girls Tennis and Volleyball being in season and lots of boys doing other sports here in the Fall. May need only an hour or two a week, but looking at people available primarily on Mondays (this one in particular most need) and Wednesdays, but maybe Friday too. Starting at 4 and latest ending at 6. Please message me if any interest and I'll see where I am at as still getting lots of emails and questions.

Can't believe the summer is already over, so hopefully had lots of fun with family and friends. It is time again to be looking at Fall group. I am predicting full groups, but want to try to help as many kids as possible. Totally understand if you are too busy this fall and will check back in the Spring.

I am available for private lessons or small groups during this time period for also some other days too, just my oldest is in High School season so a little limited, but can also start before or continue after period as well. However space will be somewhat limited.

It always makes me sad to see another Volleyball session end. But knowing that the kids are having fun and getting better is what is most important. I want the kids to talk off the ears of anyone who will listen to them because they had that much fun. Plus I can act like a kid out there and get excited for their accomplishments even if small ones, so it is like I have dozens of my own kids like one big happy family. It is my passion to build up the kids all while they have some fun doing it and there are lots of wonderful kids and parents out there over the years. Thanks you

Well rain has been coming in large amounts along with heavy winds, but overall we have been lucky with the weather compared to past Springs. The wind this past Wednesday definitely helped the kids with moving their feet to try to get to the volleyball. So as of right now barring any additional rain outs etc, our last Monday will be April 29th (no lessons Apr 22nd) and our last Wednesday will be April 24th. Hard to believe we are almost finished already, but it helps with wonderful kids who are happy to be there and try to learn. It is amazing to see the progress of the kids whether just this session or over the years.
