“After that lockdown, I just want to get back in shape and feel better.”
Got to work with Em this summer. Some specific goals like core, legs, etc. but as far as results go the highlight was at the end of the summer, she was able to fit back into leggings she hasn’t worn in 3+ years. Which made her absolutely ecstatic!
Best part for me as a business owner is I trained her mom over 10 years ago (WHAT) I over delivered, crushed results, etc. and sure enough a decade later I get random referrals and business from trying to deliver the best product possible when I was just getting started. You take care of your people and they take care of you. So awesome.

Pre 2nd lockdown progress story #278
“I’m a runner but I don’t do any strength training, and I can tell it affects my capacity.”
I see this one a lot. People will put plenty of miles in, which is awesome. However they will end up neglecting muscles like the glutes, hamstrings, core, etc.
If you’re not stressing out those muscles that help provide balance to the system as a whole, you will more than likely be missing a lot of potential and run into injury.
Over the last summer and fall we built up all of the muscles needed to go after 10-12 mile trail runs and saw a significant reduction in ankle injuries and knee issues.

“I just want to get stronger legs, glutes, and core. I have some shoulder issues, so I can’t really go overhead. Can you help me out?”

I absolutely can. Focusing on people’s specific goals is my forté. I’m like a genie, you just tell me your 3 wishes and we will hammer on them.
When she first started, a plank was difficult, an empty sled was brutal, and the muscles were pretty much non existent. Now, a loaded sled coupled with all sorts of lunges, core work, hamstring exercises, etc. and she can crush all of it even if I double the weight. Unreal.

Pre- 2nd lockdown progression story.

“I am a former D1 rower that now has 5 kiddos and need to get back in shape. Can you help?”
One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing humans that have taken some time off whether it’s life, kids, injury, pandemic, etc. and watching them make solid leaps of progress.
Even after not rowing for over a decade, and all the other things going in the world, we were able to get Chelsea down 17 lbs and her pulls were back into the 1:45ish (1350+cal/hr) range, which is very fast considering all the factors!
Plenty of strength work along with core and some conditioning, she was on pace to approach her college level numbers. Hoping it’s only 11 more days and we can resume this journey!

This is Wes. 69 years old and used to do Tough Mudders when he was 60 (WHAT) which is pretty unreal. After some rotator cuff surgery and knee issues he simply asked “can you help me get back on the horse?”
Wes, my dude, I got ya!
