I'm so excited to be home 🧡 Things have been pretty quiet on social media the last few weeks, and I wanted to share a little bit about why.

I’ve been out of town, intentionally unplugged and spending time in a season of deep learning with an incredible group of women I’m grateful to call community. It was one of those experiences that nourishes you on every level, learning new things, being challenged in the best ways, having meaningful conversations, and being reminded of the power of genuine connection and friendship.

I came home with a full heart, a lot of inspiration, and a rekindling of the foundational intention behind this business- fostering connection on many levels. Connection to self through embodiment. Connection to community through shared experience. Connection to the deeper threads of story, lineage, and belonging that remind us we were never meant to do this alone.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll start to see more conversations around frequency, energy, and the deeper layers of this work. I’ll also be slowly opening up more one-on-one sound sessions, continuing to sprinkle in workshops, and building toward expanded offerings as we move into the fall.

I’m incredibly grateful for the time away, for the learning, the community, and the opportunity to step outside of my day to day and fully immerse myself in growth. And now, I’m ready for the integration. Ready to bring what I’ve learned into practice, open things up more, and bring a little fire and momentum into this next chapter.

Thank you for being here, whether you’ve been following along for a while or are just finding your way into this space. I’m excited for what’s ahead and looking forward to sharing more of the journey with you.

Are you tired, full, and overcommitted?

Do you find yourself overstimulated or overconsuming, too much screen time, too much doing, too much noise, and still not feeling nourished?

Sensual Embodied Movement is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with yourself. Through meditation, breathwork, and embodied movement, we’ll explore what it feels like to move from within, awaken a sense of aliveness in the body, and cultivate a deeper connection to self.

This small, private women’s gathering begins gently and gradually unfolds into more expressive movement, creating an experience that many find both grounding and enlivening.

New Eco Raw Studio bandanas have arrived. Plant dyed and made from raw organic silk just around the bend in Chicago.

They’re soft, earthy, and the perfect weight. Tie them up in your hair, around your neck, on a bag, or drape over your favorite side table.

I’m heading out for a week of training and sisterhood to learn more things and fill my own cup a little. Lucy will be holding down the shop while I’m gone so stop in to say hi and check out the new summer things that have been creeping in.

I never imagined bringing clothing into this space, but apparently this is who I am now… a woman making emotional attachments to organic cotton dresses with pockets. 😂

But truly, when I decided to bring clothing into Sissa, I wanted it to actually align with the values of the shop and not just be cute for five minutes.

Happy Earth makes everything with organic cotton and plant based fabrics with zero microplastics, which means no polyester fibers washing into waterways every time you do laundry. Their pieces are soft, breathable, and ridiculously comfortable.

As you probably just witnessed during my QVC voiceover impersonation 😜 I unpacked dresses and men’s button down shirts, but we also carry reversible crop tops, contour compression tanks, full length leggings, and cropped leggings, all with deep pockets because women deserve functional clothing and I absolutely will die on that hill.

They’re also B Corp Certified, Fair Trade Certified, ethically made, and committed to environmental giveback initiatives, which makes me feel even better about bringing them into the shop.

Anyway, if you need me, I’ll be over here trying not to keep all the inventory for myself.

Come check out the summer lineup at Sissa.

I’m pretty sure I accidentally made a cacao commercial…

Apparently this is what happens when my Mani-Gen nature hyper-fixates on learning something new and I film products I genuinely love. 😂

Honestly though… I really do love Naked Earth cacao.

Elliot and Alyna care deeply about ethical sourcing, green packaging, and creating a genuinely beautiful product. Alyna even sends handwritten postcards and checks in personally, which somehow feels rare these days.

And truthfully, this is one of the first ceremonial grade cacaos I’ve had that doesn’t upset my stomach. The MCT oil makes it incredibly smooth and gentle to digest, while still feeling rich and nourishing.

They also give 1% of sales back to the Boruca Indigenous Tribe in Costa Rica to help support and build ceremonial spaces, which feels deeply aligned with the care they put into the entire company.

You can grab it here at Sissa or through … Either way, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m really excited to have Amy Chicos of Be EcoWell bringing this workshop to Sissa.

Amy has a beautiful way of helping people reconnect not only with themselves, but with one another and the world around them. Her work weaves together mindfulness, systems thinking, relational tools, and environmental stewardship in ways that feel both grounded and genuinely hopeful.

This workshop, Ancestors-in-Training: Relational Tools for Resilient Organizations, was recently selected to be presented later this spring at an environmental conference in Atlanta, where Amy will also be speaking.

I love that this offering asks an important question:What if the way we tend our relationships, communities, and organizations is part of the change itself?

Together participants will explore:• Somatic Flow• Permaculture Mapping• Mindful Circle Practice

A thoughtful offering for educators, organizers, advocates, mentors, and anyone working toward more sustainable and connected ways of being and leading.

Sunday, May 24, 1:00–3:00 PM at Sissa

Sliding Scale: $35–$65

Happy Mothering Day to the women tending life in all its forms.

The tending begins early, with small hands learning to care for the Earth.

We nurture, notice what needs tending, protecting fragile things that dare to grow.

Not all mothering looks the same.
Some women mother children.
Some mother communities, friendships, animals, gardens, art, ideas, and dreams.
Some are learning to mother themselves with more softness and care.

Like the Earth herself, women carry an ancient instinct to nourish, hold, restore, and create life around them.

Today honors that quiet labor. The fierce love, steady presence, and unseen ways women help life bloom.

May we remember to offer some of that tenderness back to ourselves.

Let’s talk about embodying.

Throughout history people have worn symbols, talismans, and adornments to call in certain qualities or to remind themselves of who they are becoming. The essence of an animal. A mythological creature. A god or goddess. Strength. Wisdom. Protection. Courage. Transformation.

These bronze pieces by French-born artist Vie are rooted in that tradition.

Self taught and crafted in the U.S. by Vie and her husband, the work draws inspiration from museum pieces, Greek and Norse mythology, Ancient Egypt, and beyond. Each piece carries a timelessness and quality you can see and feel.

These pendants and earrings are perfect for everyday wear, and especially meaningful for graduation season. A small reminder of who you are stepping into becoming.
