RAKC Weekend Series Recap. Week 7, 9/5/26. Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America

Anthony took a break from football to get out on the track for some laps.

Sportsman class. 9 karts entered.
A lite rain early on through practice that lingered through the morning causing a delay for 20 minutes. Finally resumed.

Heat 1: Started 4th on a random draw. Battled and slid around in the lite rain and finished 8th.

Heat 2: Started 6th. Got up to 4th. With a few bumps ended up finishing 8th.

Feature: Started 8th. Got up to 7th, then settled back and finished 8th.

Race Recap: RAKC Weeknight Series - Race #4
7/21/2026 at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America

16 karts registered in the Sportsman division tonight. Qualified 10th. Temperature comfortable in the 70s and a bit breezy.

Practice: 13th best time of 16.
Qualified: 16th

Heat 1: S16 - P16
Got spun out on lap 1 and finished

Heat 2: S16 - P15
Better run, got tangled up lap 1 again.

Feature: S16 - P12.
Ran a good line and gained 4 spots. Some Hard racing back there.

Race Recap: RAKC Weeknight Series - Race #4
7/07/2026 at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America
14 karts registered in the Sportsman division tonight. Qualified 10th. Temperature in the mid to upper 80s all day.

Heat 1: S13 - P12
Good run. Stayed on the track
Heat 2: S12 - P14
Got hit, spun then airborne.
Of course no penalty to those that caused this.
Feature: S13 - P12.
Minor setback but ran a good line and gained a spot.

Taking a week off for Summer Camp as the Crew Chief makes some adjustments as I noticed a few that we can play with.

11 karts registered in the Sportsman division tonight. Qualified 9th. Temperature in the 90s all day.

Heat 1: S10 - P9
Good run. Stayed on the track

Heat 2: S10 - P9
Gear Adjustment. Stayed solid and maintained his lines.

Feature: S10 - P9.
Scraped excess rubber off the tires and another gear change but still can't get the kart to perform. Steady day without a spinout or wreck.

Back again Next Tuesday.
