A little bit of a different racing day for our family today. I ran a 250 lap enduro at Grundy and my kids ran their first race in the juice box/go cart division. I blew 3 tires but still ended up 5th in the B race. My son finished 3rd in his first ever juice box race. For now this ends our 2026 season but you never know where we may end up. A full season recap to come.

The post no racer likes to make, but we are headed home early. We broke a motor in first practice and thought we had it fixed. We went out for the second practice and came in and still had the problem. But we caught it early before it becomes costly….hopefully.

Managed to hang on to 4th tonight after running third for most of the race. It still was a blast to race in. Never really raced this style of bracket racing so it took a bit to catch on but we will take it. Onto tomorrow night

We are ready to roll for night 1 here in Lacrosse. Tonight we will race with the Lacrosse Sportsmen. We qualified 5th out of 43 sportsmen here tonight locking us into the feature event. This is a “bracket style” race with a maximum speed so we will see if we can make it all the laps.

We will run tomorrow with the Area Sportsmen and Saturday with the Mid-Am racing series.

Charleston results: 3rd quick in our group and 5th overall out of 31 cars. Started front row outside in the heat and jumped out to the lead. Lead a lap or two but missed my entry once and dropped back to 2nd then did it again and ultimately finished 3rd. With the caliber of cars that were in the heat race you couldn’t make mistakes without them being right there to take advantage of it. But we were still happy to lock into the race through the heat. Come feature time we changed a lot on the car just to try to get a better feel of the track and it seemed to work. We rolled off 9th and made our way up to 5th but with not knowing how many laps were left and the car starting to get hot (my fault forget to clean radiator out)I just rode around hoping to see the checkered and ended up finishing 7th. We are happy with that even though the results weren’t that great but the goal was to just finish the race and let everything else be a bonus.

Thanks to Charleston Speedway for giving us a great track to race on, smooth top to bottom with multiple lanes. We are excited to get back there more next year. And thanks to everyone that made this race happen it was nice leaving the track with some extra money in our pocket.

Congratulations to Joe Brown on the win. You definitely had a hot rod.

Our focus has now shifted to getting the mid am ready for lacrosse for 3 nights of racing next weekend. We will be racing Thursday with the Lacrosse Sportsmen, Friday with the Area Sportsmen, and Saturday with the Mid-Am Racing Series for their final race of the season.

We are at Charleston Speedway tonight for Fall Nationals. 31 street stocks signed in. This is the first time I’ve ever seen the place. Qualifying was the first laps I’ve ever turned here. Qualified 3rd in group A. 5th overall. Excited to see what we can put together tonight.

What a long 40 laps. Started 15th and lost a few spots at the initial start. Thankfully got a caution but ended up getting a flat and had to come in and get another tire. Restarted 20th and worked my way up to 10th and let me tell you that was the hardest 10th place finish I’ve ever fought for. 😂 It was a blast having clean racing coming up through the field. I can’t thank everyone enough that came down to change the tire to get me back out there. We have an electrical issue now, but we will have it ready for lacrosse in a couple weeks!

Third day. Third track. Third car.

Heat win this afternoon at Grundy. Starting deep in the field today. Let’s see what we can do with 40 laps.

A very eventful night at lasalle. Didn’t even make it a corner in the heat and got together with another car and popped a left rear tire, which sent me spinning. After all that the track crew realized the track was no where near ready to be race on after the amount of track prep that was done before the heat. We got the tire changed thanks to the Anderson family and Andreatta’s for the help, but went back out there and again spun out and this time smacked the wall with the rr pretty hard. After the car got towed in and we assessed the car we figured we would try to make some laps to see what else was wrong with the car. Started 11th and made it up to 2nd and just couldn’t get any ground with times being so close and track position was key. Although we are not happy with how the heat went we will still take a 2nd with a chance fight for a win even when the car is a basket case, literally. We will see what we can do at Grundy tomorrow.
