WE WON OUR FIRST FEATURE!!!!

Had ourselves a damn good night Friday! Wasn't super happy with the way the car handled up at Eagle River. So the last 2 weeks we completely went through the car and got it on the scales. We didn't really find any smoking gun. Besides the tape holding the links of the RR chain had started to unravel. This could've been causing the chain to bind making it shorter then it should be. Not 100% sure, but the car handled much better, Obviously. Had 31 cars checked in Friday for championship night and I managed to take home the WIN!

Started the Heat 4th finished 2nd.

Started the Feature 4th and took the high side, got into 2nd two laps in. I stayed up there and after a few laps I caught up to the guy running 1st and got around him at lap 10. Managed to hold onto that 1st spot until the checkered flag!

As always, keeping this thing going wouldn't be possible without my dad and everyone else helping.

As well has huge thanks to my sponsors for helping me make this possible!

2026 Rumble at the River $10,250 to win Recap!

Infield tractor tires and my left front tire have a love that no one can separate...

Monday: We started out our first heat 8th. I managed to sneak my way through the field, passing some heavy hitters and making a perfect 4 wide picture in the process. Finished the heat race 3rd. This gave us 5 passing points which put us in a great spot for the qualifying feature.
I rolled off the feature 3rd, and the second lap in I drilled the infield tire in turn 4 bending the center link into the frame and preventing me from being able to steer right more than a couple inches. That then caused me to not be able to counter steer and spin out trying to run the high side. After being sent to the back I stayed glued to the bottom and managed to work my way back up to 9th.

Tuesday: Started the Last Chance Heat 2nd, and lead the majority of the race but got passed at the end leaving me finishing 2nd. This put us into the Big show!
Rolled off the big $10,250 to win feature 18th. Right away noticed the car was lacking forward. I struggled through the first 6 double wide restarts. Once we started single file restarts I was able to widen the corners up some and enter soft and I started passing a few cars. I worked my way up to 14th and then like a gravitational force, I drove that Left Front tire right into the nice white infield tractor tire. I didn't draw a yellow and got back on the track. But much like Monday the center link was touching the frame and I couldn't steer right. The car went around and I cut my losses and got off the track finishing 17th.

All in all I take being able to make the feature out of 60 cars with some of the best drivers from 3 sanctioning bodies as a huge win. We have something going on with the car that is causing us to loose forward drive. With no racing in our schedule for the next two weeks the plan is to go through the car and try to find out issue. Also need to figure out how to stop hitting those infield tractor tires, or buy stock in Chevelle center links.

Huge thank you to my dad for coming up and helping piece the car back together after getting tore up Monday.

As well has huge thanks to my sponsors for helping me with these race car vacations!

Weekend Race Recap:

Friday: Rainout

Saturday, Shawano Speedway: Drew a 48 which started me off 4th in the heat.

Heat race: 4th>2nd, Had the wrong gears for how heavy the track was. Still managed to go up 2 spots and get very muddy.

Feature: Went out for the feature and after a few parade laps light rain fell. Everyone went back to the trailers and they packed the track in. We went back out for the feature for the second time and on the wave lap the sky opened up and ended the night.

Iowa Trip Recap: Up 11 spots to finish 3rd!

Wednesday, Clay County Speedway: Heat 2nd>6th, B-main 3rd>8th. Nothing good about this night. This track kicked my ass to say the least.

Thursday, Kossuth County Speedway: Heat 1st>3rd, Feature 4th>12th. Stiff competition and a long track that I'm not used to. After the feature when I got back to the trailer dad noticed the right rear looked low. Put the gauge on it and it was down to 9 psi. This would be why the car was getting looser as the race went on.

Friday, Davenport Speedway: Heat 6th>5th, Feature 14th>3rd! Car was great, was running the bottom and just pulling coming out of the corner. Even had multiple laps 4 wide. Was a super fun race and makes 3rd place #4 for the year.

Saturday, Maquoketa Speedway: Heat 2nd>3rd, Feature 9th>8th. Had a poor first lap between checking up for some action going on and not driving in hard enough. Fell back to 12th and got into a rhythm and got back up to 8th.

Was a fun trip with some awesome weather and 3 new tracks raced.

Huge Thanks to my Dad for coming with and helping Daniel and I get the cars on the track everyday. Also huge Thanks to my sponsors that help make experiences like this happen!
