Playing with the OVR on my Olympic Lifts to check bar speed each set. Set 5 135, previous sets were 95, 105, 115, 125. Average Velocity ranged from 1.18-1.24m/s, which is on the high end of Speed-Strength range (1.00-1.29m/s) and Max Velocity ranged between 2.17-2.31, which well above Starting-Speed Range (1.30m/s+) with Watts ranging 1920-2072) There was not a big drop from my previous two sets of 125 & 115, 135 velocity numbers were consistent previous sets or slightly better. **ch

Dynamic Speed: how fast can you run not in a straight line. Here are two of 6 drills we use. I’ll give the kids 4 of the six drills to do for our Speed Circuit days. They have 4 reps of each drill with max rest between each rep. Both good curvilinear drills.

Got a recovery lift in today, working stabilizer with Earthquake Bar on Squat, Bench, and Military. All high schools and colleges should invest in Earthquake Bars! Any overhead or contact sport athlete, this is a must have for injury reduction and improved performance.
