🔥 MEET THE SETTERS 🔥

⛏️ Matt Marciante


1️⃣ How long have you been climbing?
-I have been climbing for 9 years.

2️⃣ How long have you been setting?
-I have been the manager at Ozark Climbing Gym for 3 and a half years and have been setting for around the same amount of time.

3️⃣ Most proud send?
-My proudest ascents is a bit difficult Primordial Sea, Pot of Greed, Heart of the Ozarks, and ARK of the Covenant all hold a special place in my heart. These climbs are an expression to how I view climbing. Transcending difficulty these few climbs show the beauty of climbing through movement and the artistic form that bouldering can truly be.

4️⃣ What do you hope to bring to the competition?
-Aesthetics, Bad feet, and holds turned the wrong way.

1️⃣ How long have you been climbing?
-Off and on for 20 years.

2️⃣ How long have you been setting?
-Setting since 2008 (but that was my college days)

3️⃣ Most proud send?
-Most proud send was an FA in China at Kunyushan which was a training ground for kungfu and they allowed us to set there. So myself and a few other “rock search” members were bolting all around China and I got an FA on a mid 13 I named the bulge but it may be changed not sure what came of it. Nobody else sent it from the crew…

4️⃣ What do you hope to bring to the competition?
-I hope to bring some finesse and intentional movement to the comp that may take some thought to figure out.

-Almost 5 years!

-3 years.

3️⃣ Most proud send?
-Osiris V10. It was the earliest beta video I can remember watching, so it’s always been a life-lister.

4️⃣ What do you hope to bring to the competition?
-Lots of psych and both of my kneebar pads!
