FASTPITCH PLAYER TALK INDEPENDENCE DAY CLASSIC

Due to Covid-19 the Fastpitch Player Talk Memorial Day Classic had to be canceled BUT we are proud to announce that we’ve rescheduled it for July 4th weekend in Little Rock, AR. We hosted the tournament in Little Rock last year and it was huge hit. Follow the link below to sign up!!!

USSSA is excited to announce the fourth annual USSSA All American Fastpitch Program. The program’s goal is to bring athletes together from all over the country to learn, compete and succeed on the softball diamond.

If you are too big for the little things, surely you will be too little for the big. Let that sink in. 95% of softball games are won while doing the little things. The routine grounders, or pop flies. Making the consistent throw. These are things that we take for granted and things that we lose when we try to focus on being the hero. many games are won and lost because of our focus on the little things. Those things that we get so bored with in practice. Those fundamental drills of catching the ball out front or taking the drop step to pursue the popup. You can play a whole season without seeing or having the opportunity to make the diving catch. You will not go one game without the opportunity to make the play on the routine grounder. So, why do we focus on these fundamentals? Because you have to master those before you can focus on the extraordinary. And when you think you have the little things mastered, back up and master them again. And again, and again. When the little things are accomplished, big things will happen.

FASTPITCH PLAYER TALK IV FALL CLASSIC has opened registration. 11u and 12u will be 90 minute format for PGF prep. Only 16 teams being accepted per game group due to longer game times. Please message Jason Ennis for consideration. Not all teams will be accepted.

As I reflect on the 2019 USSSA Elite Select Fastpitch Player Talk Memorial Day Classic..... I must say WOW. The support from the teams, organizations, USSSA and the Little Rock, Arkansas area was overwhelming. I would have to say this was the best year for this tournament than any other year. With the help of Chris Florence and Trey Tucker this was an absolutely TOP NOTCH tournament.

I want to personally thank each team, coach, players and parents for trusting in us to bring you the best we could. I’m truly passionate about this tournament and want it to be the best it can. I’ve received great feedback and continue to use it for the next year.

Bobby Shawn , Jeremiah Clennon and the other staff... you guys rocked it. It was a pleasure working with you. The facilities were great. Field crews were the bomb. I could go on and on.

I hope that everyone will mark their calendars for next year as we will be making an announcement on the location for 2020 Fastpitch Player Talk Memorial Day Tournament very soon. 5th anniversary and you know we will rock it once again!
