North Rim CrossFit We are Chico's premiere CrossFit gym. We offer Group Classes, Personal Training & Nutrition. North Rim CrossFit is a 7,500 sq ft. We're kid friendly!

This broad and inclusive method adapts to all ages, fitness, and skill levels. Our workouts are designed to improve you in all areas of life. We offer Olympic lifting classes, competition training, and open gym times. All of our memberships include unlimited visits

. We believe you should have the opportunity to attend as many classes as you need to in order to achieve your goals. We generally suggest showing up at least 3-5 times per week. Anything less than that takes longer to see and feel results. The beauty of CrossFit is that it is infinitely scalable. This means we can customize the programming for a variety of levels--whether you're an advanced athlete, or haven't worked out in 10 years. We will figure out what you can do and adjust the workouts to meet your individual capability so you don't have to worry. Our clients are as young as 13 and as old as 70. We offer daycare and even have CrossFit Kids classes. Also, if you're in town visiting and currently are a member at another crossfit gym our classes are free. Please talk to us if you plan on coming for an extended period of time. we will be happy to work out a fair pricing solution.

JULY REWIND 🔁 HYROX sims, a visit to the CrossFit Games, multiple CrossFit competitions and an ultra marathon!

What a busy month for our athletes! Not only what it was it America’s 250th birthday, but it was also a milestone for a few of our members who participated in their first hybrid race in the Bay Area. Janae, Chrissie and Scott had to push through the heat to finish their first HYROX Sim (hybrid race). They did amazing!!

Elaina was able to attend the CF coaches and owners conference with hundreds of coaches and owners from around the world. What an event!!

“It’s exciting to see the vision of CrossFit even after all these years”, she says. “ CrossFit has been leading the industry to better standards for a couple decades and they are only getting stronger with the new leadership they have in place.”

She excited to take more coaches to the event next year.

Several athletes attended the CrossFit Games in San Jose to watch the fittest on earth!

Kat and Reagan travelled to Alabama to compete in the Magic City games and the. Kat and Chase stayed on in Kansas for the Monster games.

Coach Tommy ran back to back races in a weekend completing
Burning River 50-miler in Ohio (10 hrs 49 minutes) on Saturday followed by a marathon (5hrs 3 minutes) in Pennsylvania on Sunday…. 🫠😮‍💨😅 He’s completed marathons or more in 21 out of 50 states.

This is part of his prep/ training for his first 100-miler over Labor Day weekend in Iowa!! Well on his way to the goal of all 50 states!! Go coach!!

CrossFit workouts are scaled to preserve the intended stimuli despite athlete limitations such as experience, injury, illness, or range of motion. 
 
A properly scaled workout safely maximizes relative intensity (load, speed, range of motion) to continue developing increased work capacity despite limitations. A long-term goal of scaling is creating the ability to perform workouts ‘as prescribed.

Coach Alexis Bagnani💫 has been doing CrossFit since the eighth grade. That’s over a decade now. Start them young and keep them healthy and anyone can do a CrossFit workout with some scaling. She’s still finda time to CrossFit even with being in the masters program for speech and language pathology.

It was such a blast watching all the teams compete at 2026
So proud of all our peeps who showed up to represent and support such a great cause. Witnessing people step in and step up (Thank you 👊🏻), screaming as athletes went unbroken for those last reps to finish strong for a better score, and just cheering each other on! It was incredible energy!!
Placing on the podium was icing on the cake. 🎂 🏆
You were ALL AWESOME!

We asked Wayne a few questions about his CrossFit journey.

“I joined NRCF in November of 2015.
I knew very little about Crossfit, but quickly fell in love with the Crossfit methodology, the community, and embraced the challenge of learning new things. One of the major draws to CrossFit was that the workouts were already written out. All I had to do was show up and the coaches would explain the workout and coach me through it.

As the years went on, I was able to track my progress by participating in the
I did not know it at the time, but I found that looking back at my previous results gave me feedback on my progress.

What motivates me to continue to train? The desire & challenge to keep improving all aspects of my fitness. During my Crossfit Journey, my goal has always been to “just make progress”. Over the past 10 years, I have improved tremendously and I am amazed that I have made it this far.

As far as Semis go, my goal is to enjoy the experience and learn as much as I can from the “fittest in the world”.

My goal from here has not changed. I plan to continue to stay happy and healthy using fitness as a hobby and a challenge. “

You’ve been training hard for this moment and it’s time to shine. Grab your favorite partner and meet us on the floor!

Spring Fling is our annual IN House Comp where you can try your hand at completion style workouts, but in a super low-key and familiar environment.

It’s always a ton of fun and we potluck after the event as a community.

So mark your calendars and snag your fave workout buddy. Registration starts tomorrow and ends May 8th so we can get our shirt orders in!!
