A matching pair of little waves, each tucked into a vintage frame discovered during one of my antique shop treasure hunts.

I'm finding that these paintings are as much about the search as the painting itself. Every frame has a history, and I love giving them a new life alongside fresh artwork inspired by the coast.

From the beginning, my goal with The Pony Island was to create a horse learning space that felt:

This project has been a true intersection of design, illustration, and education, building an experience that goes beyond content and into guided learning for kids.

It’s been a unique challenge to design something that is both engaging and instructional, and I’m grateful to see it recognized.

I recently had the chance to join Denise Alvarez of Stormlily Marketing on the How to Market Your Horse Business podcast to talk about building a creative business in the horse industry.

As an equestrian illustrator and designer, a lot of my work sits at the intersection of art, education, and entrepreneurship. So fun creating this ad with 🍸Tonic🐴 the horse for Eliza Sydnor Dressage!

I’ll be teaching a one day workshop focused on Rider’s Seat and Position - Friday, February 20 - here in Chapel Hill NC! Come join to learn more about rider biomechanics, how to sit each gait correctly, why we ride in the position we do, and hands on practice for everyone (unmounted) to gain greater understanding and control of your body mechanics! We’ll have a yummy lunch and stay indoors, so no matter the weather, it will be a great day full of learning for riders of any level.

Thrilled to share a recent collaboration with dreamers & schemers featuring a playful illustration of Dreamer and Schemer enjoying a sleepover complete with braids, makeup, and snacks. Working with brands who bring creativity and personality to the equestrian world is always a joy.

And in other exciting news — my new project, The Pony Island, is officially live! It’s a learning and creativity hub for horse-loving kids and families, offering illustrated printables, interactive games, educational resources, and a growing collection of handmade plush ponies.

Creating art that inspires young riders is the heart of my work, and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
