UNC Women's Rugby UNC Women's Rugby is devoted to teamwork, camaraderie, and sisterhood Drop by a practice or game to learn more and talk to current players.

Since its resurrection in 1993, the UNCWRFC has become one of the premier women's rugby programs in the South and has appeared in the Division I Sweet 16 six out of the last 10 years. We welcome all types of players, regardless of athletic experience.

SO EXCITED to announce that two of our tarheels will be competing in Minnesota this week with 🔥🔥 !! Chandler and Rosie will be representing UNC at the USA U23 All Star Tournament! We’re so incredibly proud of them and can’t wait to cheer them on.

our heels had a blast at nationals this past weekend, finishing 8th overall in the D1-AA division!

thank you so so much to everyone who donated and helped us get to maryland. it would not have been possible without your support 🫂

another huge thank you to our coaches for the time and effort they have poured into the team this year— we wouldn’t be here without you guys.

as we close out the spring season, we could not be prouder of our girls and are so excited for all that is to come. see ya’ll in the fall, go heels !! 🩵

From a Tarheel to a Tempest, Ashtyn is off to show her skills in the Windy City. We’ll miss her greatly but if we had to give her up for anyone we’re glad it’s Chicago. So proud and grateful for everything she did during her time here and can’t wait to see what she will continue to do in Chicago. Go Ashtyn!
