A balled out black 🍒 𝚂𝚞𝚛𝚕𝚢 𝙱𝚒𝚔𝚎𝚜 Midnight Spesh' for our good friend, Thad, who came through for a proper fittin' all-rounder with the house flavor and at a stout 6'5" stature, we knew we had to reach for the 64cm frame that few bike brands offer.

So we perched that steel tallboy on a set of with some rich chocolate Onyx Racing Products Vesper hubs laced to TERAVAIL Circos hoops with Sapim spokes and those cool brass SimWorks nips.✨️

Pulled a double shot of espresso Wolf Tooth Components bits where it counts and went all in on the new TERAVAIL cockpit with a workin' class 12-speed Shimano Bike 105 group in the mix.

Downright luxurious. So stoked for you, Thad!

🏄‍♀️ We're riding that peak season summer wave over here and the shop is straight floorin' it to keep everyone rolling right and keep on turnin' custom bikes and wheels out every day.

🔧We've still got service appointments available leading into RAGBRAI, but they're filling up fast, and our service queue is turning around big projects in just under 2-weeks while still workin' those weekend on-the-spot repairs. Yep, its a wild time of year for us, but we're pumped for the opportunity to keep you all rolling. So holler if your bike needs some love or you're scheming on a dream build, and we'll make it happen, friends! ❤️

Swift Campout Cedar Rapids is on, folks. Let's go campin!🌙

We're loading up our bikes Saturday, June 20th and cutting loose for the annual summer solstice overnighter and of course, you're all invited.

Rally the crew, pack the stuff, and join us for an easy-goin' cruise out to Pinicon Ridge Park where we've got a cozy group site primed for some campfire camaraderie and R&R under the stars for the night.

🧭 We've got a chill, 25-mile route to camp queued up and plan to launch from the shop at 10am Saturday morning. We're planning for a no-drop, easy goin pace down the Cedar Valley Nature Trail before makin' a gas station pit stop in Alburnett and rolling the last 10-miles of gravel to camp for the night.

⛺️ We hope to get to camp and set up with plenty of afternoon left to enjoy Pinicon Ridge Parks' plethora of trails, the Wapsipinicon River, and maybe pop over to the neighbors at for a snack. There's also a grocery store in town to grab anything else you'll need to eat for the night/mornin'.

Be sure to plan and prepare for a fully self-supported ride, friends. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Bug spray too!🦟There's a restroom, potable water, and plenty of firewood at camp.

🪩 The .bikes Rambler SL in chiller mode for our friend, Janice, and ready for a full summer of 'round townin!

Lots of shop flavor in the mix here but we thought that 'disco moondust' frameset perched just right on a set of house with a 🍇 SON 28 dynamo + CLD ensemble laced up to US-Made Blunt SS rims with our favorite Sapim spokes and brass nips'.✨️

From MPLS with love :: the bearings where it counts and the last of our stash of limited GRX silver kits cozyed up on that set of Nitto Country Bars.

A B17 short, grips, and some cool Aurora for the comfort maxing, and a little basket jammin' for packin' all the essentials in that coyote bagset to top it all off. Too fun!

Jasmine recently established some roots here in Cedar Rapids and stopped by the shop on a whim while getting to know the neighborhood. She really warmed up to the place, and in no time, we were talking about how we could help her get rolling around her new community.

She talked about missing her last bike that was stolen which left a void where there used to be a sense of freedom, individuality, and empowerment. We chatted about the bike-friendliness of Cedar Rapids and how welcome she's felt here so far. "Everyone is so warm, helpful, and sincere. I'm not used to that where I'm from."

The .bikes Rambler framset we had on display caught her eye and she enthusiastically invited us to build up her dream bike. We think it's perfect, and we're so grateful for the new friendship.

We're also grateful for our community here that continues to welcome with open arms and support their neighbors. You're amazing, Cedar Rapids. It was hard not to feel a strong sense of pride after hearing Jasmine's experience in the short time shes lived here. ❤️

🔸️MOOTS in Motion - Demo Tour Visit!🔸️

Cedar Rapids, Iowa :: Saturday, April 18th

Our good friends at are swinging through with a fleet of Routt gravel bikes in every size for everyone to ride, so whether you're ti' curious or considering a lifetime piece rolling into the coming season, this will be a good chance to find out what the hype on these hand-made in US titanium bikes is all about.

We'll be set up outside the old Penningroth Barn at Indian Creek Nature Center from 4:30-7pm for an evening of riding and vibing on some incredible bikes, so bring your helmet and whatever else you need to get a ride in. Beverages, pizza, friends, cool!🍕

The demo van will also be pulled up at the shop all day, so if you're not able to make the evening session, stop by anytime during our usual hours to talk ti' with the folks at Moots and take a Routt for a rip!

🔮 The Sorceress :: a feral hardtail conjured to transcend the rowdest trails in our realm and dispell circumspect is cast into glamorous form at the shop today!

We're stoked to offer up this new platform from our friends at Surly, digging the single-speedable 'DUH' dropouts, and especially the roomie standover height with a 140mm travel fork in the mix.

The ideal rims best suited for 3" tires are slim these days, but fortunately our friends Velocity USA still offer up the Dually that are among the lightest and strongest there ever was, and it just so happens they're hand-made in Michigan, taboot!

Our bud, Zack, came through for some ✋️ to level up his Surly Krampus, so we laced a set of Dually 29s to our house 🍒 Bitex hubs with Sapim spokes and wrapped with those burly WTB Rangers. So tough!

Thanks for letting us get these rolling for you, Zack, and big love to the good folks Velocity USA who keep turnin' out some of the best hoops in the biz'! ❤️

Jen picked up a cool .bikes Rambler SL and the whole dang city felt the excitement she was channeling!⚡️Couldn't be more pumped for you and the family cruises, Jen, and so thankful for the good energy you brought through our space. 💛

The shop was turned ALL the way up today and it was so good to see everyone out cruising the neighborhood with the first taste of summer here in Iowa.

We're ridin' a very high falsetto note into our weekend and just want to express all the gratitude for letting us keep you rolling, Cedar Rapids. It's going to be a great summer! ✌️

Wrapping up a bustlin' week at the shop and vibin' from everybody's enthusiasm for the warmer months ahead!

Thought we'd cap the week with a closer look at this rose' Salsa Cycles Spearfish C - Eagle 90 with some tasteful notes of 💠 Cedaero Tank-Top pack and dual ti cages to bring aboard all the essentials for a big day on the trails.

This one's rolling out with our friend Mike, who's one of the many enthusiastically new-to-mountain-biking folks to come through the shop recently. Mike's interest piqued after catching some hype around the plethora of newly established LAMBA singletrack in our neck of the woods, and the Spearfish is ideal. Let 'er rip, buddy!

📢 If you missed it, we're co-hosting a FREE Trailside Repair Workshop with Linn County Conservation out at Wickiup Hill on March 28th, and everyone's invited!

⚙️ Come learn how to plug a tubeless puncture, fix a broken chain, what to bring in your repair kit, and tackle the most common trailside mishaps. We'll also touch on basic suspension setup + drivetrain hygiene, and raise a little cash for while we're at it. So whether you've got a new MTB or you already shred, this ones for you!

The kids are alright!

We're very excited to see the launch of Cedar Rapids MTB Club ✨️a youth mountain bike club✨️ going live here in Cedar Rapids this coming season! They're aiming to engage kids ages 8-18, help them grow their riding skills, build confidence on the trails, learn the fundamentals, and have a whole lotta' fun along the way.

If you've got a little shredder who might want to get in on the action, consider checking out an informative meeting with the club's mentors at the Marion Public Library this coming Thursday, March 12th, at 6pm, and learn how your family can get involved.
